How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Mine was built 01/2023 and arrived to Jacksonville, FL (JAXPORT) end of February. According to dealer, it's still there waiting for QC (ON-HOLD). Annoyingly now it's just the waiting game as Dealer doesn't know when it'll get released. Could be next week or middle of April.

 

Hopefully someone gets the scoop from their dealer today because of the "check back in after noon on Friday's"

Definitely going to ask mine at noon today for an update. My fear is the update will be “no new updates”…

 

New here, but lurking because I too am caught up with the hold. Waiting on a OR DCLB in MGM, with premium and advanced tech packages. Built 1/31, arrived to WA I believe and then went on hold 2/17. Dealer has been in touch multiple times with no real update other than to say they have others also on hold, and don’t know when to expect movement but they’ll keep me updated. Fingers crossed something happens soon!

 

I am curious to see what the hold is all about. the build date on the door of my tacoma is 1/23 and I purchased it on 2/16 from a dealer in Mass. Maybe certain models or maybe mine got missed. Hope I do not end up getting a recall.

 

Anyone get an update at noon? My dealer isn’t responding.

Tuesday will be 3 weeks for my hold

 

welp, maybe this hold was a blessing in disguise, for me at least. my wife and I were expecting our 2nd child and this Tacoma was going to be our new camping truck plus my daily driver to to consolidate and replace our '97 Toyota T100 and '13 Subaru Impreza. we have a Lexus GX460 as our main family vehicle so we figured we could squeeze everyone in for camping trips and take the GX for everything else.

come to find out we are having twins - all plans out the window. would like to think this Tacoma would work but probably in denial... will need to start shopping Tundras, I guess, and not even sure how well that will work for the dispersed camping we do. god damn it, I was stoked to be driving a manual again...

 

I think we need to be prepared for this to last months. I’m going to start looking at other dealerships across the country to see if maybe a truck with the specs I’m wanting has somehow made it a lot somewhere without being claimed. I could spend a few hundred dollars on a one way plane ticket, spend a night in a hotel, and then drive it home. Well worth the expense to get what I want in a quick timeframe… if it’s possible to find one…

 

I’m not going to find what I want somewhere else lol so I’m not going to even bother trying took me 5 months of searching the whole country to find exactly what I was looking for and not already spoken for im not starting that search over. I waited this long It will come eventually

 

You are probably right. I doubt I’ll be able to find what I want elsewhere either. I’m definitely not taking my deposit off of the one I’ve currently got it on. I’m just getting fed up with this whole situation. Not necessarily the length of the hold, but rather the fact that no one will share any information.

I hate to crush peoples dreams, but if you want a access cab trd Sport m/t you had to request it prior to 31 December 2022 they stop building them because I requested one in February 19 2022 over a year ago I never got it so had to buy a 2021 instead I requested from five dealerships three. In-state 2 out of state. But the biggest one is it depends on the region you live in how many Tacoma’s they sell too but I hope everybody gets what they want, but I highly doubt it

 

And even if they won’t say why can’t they at least say how long?

 

I know yall are all waiting to hear about your built trucks on hold. My truck was supposed to get built February 20th. But each week the dealer updated me the build date keeps getting pushed back. Today is like the 5th date push back.

How many of yall remember if your truck got built on the day the dealer said it would or if the build date got pushed back. Thanks.

 

Mine was originally supposed to be built 1/7 but wasn’t actually built until 1/31.

 

mine was suppose be 2/3 but it got built on 2/9 slight delay. Then went through proccessing and left on 2/13 and got put on hold the 14th
