How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Thank you bud - this whole deal is becoming increasingly aggravating. the dealer is now telling me that the truck is being held and they're delaying me, again, until May 2023. I almost want to go in there and raise hell about getting my money back. I'm so confused.

This is all so strange. Now Toyota is telling me that the truck is being held and delayed me another 40 days. And when I type in this vin number to manually search for anything on the truck myself, it comes up as no match?? Im almost to the point of wanting my money back (if I can get it) and going with something else. This is a trip.

 

Welcome to the club. Large batch of Tacomas built mid-January to mid-February were put on hold starting 2/14. Most of us are seeing a “63 day hold for quality confirmation activity”. Unfortunately demanding answers from your dealer won’t get you anywhere. In my experience they don’t have any answers because the Toyota manufacturing side doesn’t share the information with them. I’m sure you can get your money back but if you’re still wanting to go with a Tacoma you’re going to have the same issue if you go somewhere else. The hold is affecting trucks nationwide.

 

That's good mpg! Best I can do is 30-32. I know I'll have more fun in the truck though, smiles per gallon.

Well it looks like our 63 day hold has gone up to 70 days…

Maybe we will see our trucks by May?

 

annoying… I’m not even going to ask to have mine checked again for another week or so lol.

 

What could they possibly doing with all these trucks for 70 days…

 

I’d say the trucks are mostly just sitting around. I’d imagine the 70 days is just a guess of how long they think it will take to actually get to all of them to do whatever it is they are doing.

 

Yeah, I got hopeful hearing that a couple of peoples came off of hold.

 

meanwhile ones built weeks after ours are already in people’s hands… would think they would say these have been sitting around this is priority to get them done whatever needs to be done and get them out of here

 

Yep. I totally agree. Doesn’t seem to be the way Toyota operates though. This whole process has been ridiculous. I knew it would be a bit of a wait to get a truck but I never dreamed it would’ve turned into this.

 

That’s what the dealer told me but why would they call it a QC hold then..

 

@DragonPro23 my TRDOR was supposed to hit dealer 3/23. I got a call Friday that it was on hold but still showed a 3/23 delivery date. Do you mind looking up my VIN to see if you can get any additional info? Thanks!
