I would just stay patient, your truck is definitely built. Honestly I don't think they have much info to share, I wish they had more. I would still call and see if you can get the permanent VIN from another sales guy, if you feel yours isn't available. Even in this crazy market remember, YOU are still the customer and that means something. It's not too much to ask for someone to take 2 minutes to give you your VIN. Up to you but I also would ask to activate connected services so you can keep an eye on startups and mileage via the app now that it's built.

It needs to have the permanent VIN inputted to show things like mileage, PSI etc. I believe.

Yea, I got Connected Services activated last night after I figured out the permanent VIN number. Unfortunately, 10 days after it was built, it's still not showing any miles on the odometer, fuel in the tank, or tire psi. That's why I was a little concerned since my buddy that works for Toyota ran the VIN and said it was definitely built on 1/24 but it was the first time they had seen one without any tracking details and only showing it was in "Freight Status".

When I activated Connected Services last night I thought it might show me that information, but no luck. I'm hoping that's all been done (and there's not something weird going on) and the vehicle just needs to connect again now that I've activated Connected Services to upload that information.

It may just be sitting there waiting to be moved, who knows. Sorry to hear it's unclear what's happening with your truck.

Yea, he figured it was just sitting at a railyard waiting to be picked up, but couldn't sure. He did say even they've been having issues with tracking and what not with the various plant shutdowns, driver shortages, and what not. We'll see I suppose. Just excited and antsy lol!

It's on its way. A lot of people have been waiting since late last year.. so you have that much.

out of boredom, i've searched a good part of the country and have seen very little DCLBs with the advanced tech package. I want basically a PRO, but with a 6 foot bed, so i'm stuck looking for a TRD-OR.

Not even sure if mine has the connected services. I'd really like it if it has remote start. If not it's no big deal.. would be cool since I've never had it before...

It does. Mine is an SR5 - I don't have remote start, but even I have WiFi hotspot and the capability to see mileage, last start time, fuel, and PSI.

Something looks off, I just pulled the newest data from the Inventory tool and there's only 1,759 Tacomas on the spreadsheet with all filters off.

The plot thickens, I'm not sure what happens when i use the inventory search on the Toyota website if it does just that area, or a radius now.
