Hi y'all. Literally made an account just for this thread. I've been looking, trying to gauge how long people have been waiting for their tacos. I ordered mine 10/5/22. Got updated about a build date of 4/17/23. Build date passed, got updated it was built 4/20/23. Sales rep said he'd let me know when it got on the train. No word yet. I don't even have the proper vin number, just the temporary one they have listed on their website. Crossing my fingers it arrives this month (mainly because I don't want to have to do the next service on my Corolla, haha).

 

Every week I get a surprise when I ask for the latest info. Let's hope this week's surprise is a pleasant one.
@DragonPro23, let's see what the magic crystal ball has in store for me. I'm hoping for a rail car id...

Well, great! Noting that we didn't get the vessel information until after the truck was offloaded, we will probably not get the railcar id either. But, we know that the train has left Benicia and is on its way to Houston. I suspect several others will be happy to see this as well. Sometime in June (certainly by Christmas...) I should get my new toy!

Get the actual VIN number from the dealer - you will be able to find lots of info once you get that. Several of us have been waiting a long time - I feel lucky that my wait from writing the deposit check will probably be less than 6 months. Your Taco should be much quicker, depending on if it needs anything added that wasn't installed at the factory, which factory is building it, and where it is going. Some here have received theirs recently in as little as a few weeks - lots of variability at this point. Thus the VIN is the key to finding out lots of details.

https://toyota-tracker.com/lookup can be used to check status if an ordered/allotted vehicle. Also, add the vin to the Toyota owners app and you can get notifications of door locks, fuel etc.

Thanks! I reached out to get the vin and got it. He also told me it left San Diego on the 9th but hasn't arrived to the rail yard here (Minnesota) yet. The Toyota Owners site is having issues adding the vin and Toyota Tracker isn't enjoying the new vin either. I guess I just wait and hope for the best.
