And those of us in GST territory will probably not be told anything. Neither will the dealers!
As for the 2024, I found it interesting until I realized there was no 6-cyl engine. That will make the Tundra really popular as a work truck.

First time buying a new truck since before covid, its crazy how things have changed. Originally my dealer had said they were expecting the truck in the week of the 8th of May but have been pushing the date back. looking at all the traffic here it may not be coming in soon. @DragonPro23 May I please have my Vin looked at if you have the time so I may have a better idea on where the truck is at in the process? I dare say its in the same QC hold alot of folks are in but it never hurts to check.

    Ooh neat. No hold.

For those counting, I don't have the tech or premium packages.

Hi @DragonPro23, could you verify the status of this VIN 3TMDZ5BN9PM19B328. Greatly appreciated.

Hi @DragonPro23, could you run JTERU5JR0P6151655 hopefully one last time? Status changed from allocated to freight today.

It never fails. Within a day or two of getting an update, I will receive a notification on the Toyota App. I got three this morning, the latest at 6:32AM CDT. The mileage did not change, but the tire pressure updated, which means it was driven for a long enough distance to trigger that reading. Since it was at 6:32, I am of the belief that the Tacoma is in Houston and not California (that's another story).
Any of my fellow GSTers getting updates? If so, perhaps an update from Dave this afternoon would be warranted.
By the way, dealer tells me that there are no holds on Tacomas at present - their problem is Highlanders and Camrys.
Getting harder not to get my hopes up...

That’s not bringing anything up - your truck was likely built and assigned a proper VIN.

I should add that I pretty much don't believe anything the dealer is telling me that they were told by GST. I _know_ there is a hold on at least some Tacos. I am hoping that the ones built before April have already cleared that issue, but we will see. Mine was built on 2/14, and it has already endured one hold.

I've actually been going off your status with mine since ours is going to the same place in Houston. @DragonPro23 Can you check my VIN to see if it aligns with @FBHam please? 3TYCZ5AN3PT129971

Today feels like a combination of Christmas Eve and Ground Hog Day (the movie). The excitement is building, but it is the same "day before" over and over. But, I think we are really close. Just might even beat @Cetacean Sensation!
After yesterday's activity, there is a lot more this morning. Four door openings so far, and gas was added to the gas tank - it now shows a few gallons (I believe they specify 4).
I have a feeling there will be a truck load of Tacos arriving at the local dealer in just a few hours. Then we will see how long it takes them to do the local prep.
Maybe tomorrow or very early next week for delivery? We will see.
    "Twas the night before Christmas...".

I ended up finding the exact same truck at a Toyota dealership in Denton, TX last week. My original truck was built on January 26th, and still has not made it onto a transport truck. This truck was built in March and was actually $1,200 cheaper than what I was going to pay at Toyota of Cedar Park.
