How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Mine arrived at the dealer last evening along with quite a few others. They are doing their add-ons today, and I get to pick it up (and pay for it) tomorrow. I did get to sit in it and look it over today though.
So, @Cetacean Sensation The race is on! Let's see if you get yours first. It being the end of the month, there will be a lot of Tacos delivered tomorrow! Hmmm, Taco Wednesday?

Five months was worth the wait. Although it was a very aggravating wait. A huge thanks again to @DragonPro23 for keeping us all sane with incredible information. I'll post more tomorrow when I get my new baby home.

 

Have they ever said what the actual hold was for? Mine looks to have been on hold since the 19th. Its a base SR model so wouldnt have any of the tech packages or anything

 

@FBHam are you around the Houston Area? i'm a couple hours away. Maybe i might get mine this week. Congrats on getting your truck finally!

 

Southwest Louisiana. Like yours, my truck went through Houston. The folks in Houston have a LOT (perhaps as many as in the 1000s) trucks to process, and they are working pretty hard to get them done. Once GST figured out where to get the railcars it is like the dam burst, and they are now swimming in trucks. I am sure yours will be there shortly.
It was different seeing several new Tacos at the dealer today. A very pretty blue OR really stood out. Not spoken for yet as of 2pm. Bet that won't last long.

 

Yeah, i'm in Southeast Texas so i would imagine it's just waiting its turn to be processed and put on a truck. I'll definitely post a pic when i get it lol

 

November?! Man, you are patient. I refused to put a deposit down anywhere that didn't have a real, allocated truck but I know plenty of places do that. Have you been calling other dealerships in your area when the allocations are dropped bi-weekly?

OK, I can't help myself. The Viking Diamond arrived in Benicia on May 26 at 10:41Z, and departed at May 27 at 0031Z. Your truck is in Benicia awaiting transport. In your case it is probably awaiting a truck carrier. It also means you should be able to see door openings and closings in the Toyota app and thus should be able to tell when it is loaded onto the carrier. Good luck!

Looks like I'll be picking up my truck this weekend! I still need to drive 200 miles to get it but glad to not pay a $5k markup for a manual trans (paying $100 below MSRP).

 

My new TRD Sport DCSB baby is now home and all mine. Looks just like the pre-delivery pict I posted yesterday. My first impression is that it has a lot more pickup / acceleration than I was led to believe. It drives very well, but I am going to have to get used to getting into the driver's seat. It kind of reminds me of climbing into a commercial airplane pilot's seat.
It took five months and three days from placing the deposit, and it was definitely worth waiting for. Now to start learning what I might need to add. So far not much. I'm sure that will change.
By the way, Tacomas are starting to get a bit easier to find here (as are other Toyotas), and I find it very interesting that M/Ts are very much available through the allocation process. Looks like Toyota has been listening. What isn't available, and might be a clue to the delays, is the really nice sound system.

Looks like your truck was built and assigned an actual VIN - that temp serial doesn't bring anything up.

Get the VIN and post it here.
