How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

So, for what it's worth, I got an email from my salesperson on Saturday that stated 162 Tacoma trucks are "stuck" in port.
In my case it's Benicia Ca. He didn't state whether it was just that port, or all of U.S.
The screenshot he sent me shows a Campaign heading with a red dot and an exclamation point in it,
as does the rest of the list.
Putting 2+2 together, with the app showing a recall on the airbag wiring harness, I am assuming they are checking the
serial numbers on the cables to see if they are out of compliance.
My question is:
The app states it's a dealer fix. Does that mean they will release these trucks, or will we have to wait until September
to figure out what they are going to do about it while the trucks are still in port?

@loadtoad88 . @DragonPro23 sent you a freight notification stating your truck was on it's way to Portland?
Has your dealer given you any info on if they will release the truck?

I saw a post about a hold on tacomas. My tacoma arrived in Maryland today, build date was 5/12. Now I get to wait until Thursday, when I can go drive to get it. Hope yours arrives soon, the waiting game sucks.

Dang !! Popular thread this is. I went to the dealer and stated I wanted a white 2WD Limited ( I got no use for a 4WD, I have an old GMC beater 4WD already ). I gave them a check for $500 which the salesman said when they get their inventory sheet on what’s coming in then my money will prevent another salesman from selling what I wanted. He said all the vehicles on the inventory will more than likely be sold before they arrive. Which is probably true. Anyway I ordered it in September of 2021, my 2022 arrived from San Antonio TX in November 2022. (Nitrogen in the tires ? $175 for nitrogen in the tires, what the hell !!! ) But I’m happy with the truck. I’m 66y/o, if it’s not a lemon, I’ll drive it till they take my license away. So far so good.

Yeah they called to tell me they can’t release the truck to me before it’s fixed. I guess Toyota won’t even transfer it to the dealer for liability issues. I just hope I’ll get the truck in August or September at the latest.

 

Toyota-Tracker has this message for my VIN:"! Sorry, looks like Toyota has no data for this vehicle at this time.
Last recorded information from July 18, 2023 at 09:13:46 AM". Anyone else getting this?

Also the Toyota dealer website has an erroneous date for the Estimated availability (12/31/99 - 01/05/00).

How are you guys seeing things like gas, miles in the Toyota App? I've added my VIN to the app. Truck was just built within the last couple days so not sure what, if anything, will show yet. When adding to the app I didn't know if I should go thru the Connected Services setup yet so I bailed out before doing that. Is the Connected Services what shows you details like gas, mileage, etc?
