Hell, I put down $500 on July 17th of LAST YEAR on a WCP Tacoma Sport, Its August 4th and still no build. The sales guy hasn't even contacted me since May of this year. They don't seem to give a crap.

 

Imagine waiting for a TACOMA that long. Lol

 

Its insane. I'm going to get stuck with the 2024 model at this rate.

 

Stuck? I would def rather have the new one based on looks alone, and re sale value

 

I dont want to deal with recalls

 

I would rather deal with a recall here and there (if they had one) than have to wait over a year for a Tacoma thats been out forever. IMO

 

I put an allocation request February 2022 in mine was allocated in May of this year built in June post to be delivered by the end of August 15 months from request allocation to actually allocated to dealer still takes three months to get it

 

Sounds like they never got the allocation! Somethings definitely not right. Do you have a temp VIN? I would just get my freaking money back, and look elsewhere for your truck.

I'm going to say your dealer didn't do anything but gain interest on $500. I've been waiting for dealer(s) in Illinois to build my truck throughout the entire Covid period and nothing ever happened. I reached out again after the 2024 Taco reveal (ewwww... gross) and I asked my sales guy to escalate. Here is the photo of the email he texted me that says "they" are not taking special requests. He said he did everything he could do. Hell, he also told me Toyota has completely stopped making access cabs. I even went to the Chicago district office in Aurora, IL personally. NOBODY in my district would lift a finger to get me a truck other than what's on an existing lot.



So I called other district offices in the country and reached a random guy in the Cincinnati office and explained my problem. He reached out to his district manager who had my truck ordered the very next day. I have an estimated build date for the last week of August and an estimated delivery of mid-September. Yes, I have to drive a couple states away to get my truck but 1. I wanted a specific truck that nobody around me had and couldn't care less to try and get for me and 2. I'll be damned if I'll give business to a bunch of people who were too lazy to help my give them 50k.

p.s. The reason I drove to the district office in Aurora, IL was because nobody answers their phone in their district office, despite it being the US training headquarters as well as their parts distribution.

In summary: KISS MY ASS ENTIRE CHICAGO REGION. You'll never get another dime from me.
