How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

My week 04 disappeared like 2 weeks ago.

 

How do you guys determine if a vin is Temp or permanent?

 

My truck fell off the SET website, hope that's not a bad thing haha

 

I don't actually know how to distinguish them, I'm just assuming the dealer would've told me it was already built if it was the real vin

 

If there is a letter in the last digits. Or if it kicks back an error message on the VIN lookup portal.

 

Dealer called me this morning..said we are still on for Feb 17th delivery of the AG DCSB. I put $500 refundable down payment on Dec 30th 2021. The truck was allocated to them and had the tech package I wanted. But I had to pay for the interior LED upgrade and Toyo care? When it gets here then I will consider adding running boards, roll up bed cover and a catalytic converter shield..

 

Interior LED is a port installed option.

 

Mine did too, but they're still telling me another month and a half before I see it.

Just dropped my deposit on a sport. What do you guys mean by a 05 temp vin ?and how can you track it ?

 

the last 6 digits of the temp VIN is the build week. Seems to be lagging behind a bit though. My temp VIN was 04, but its still a ways away, it's a Pro though and they're taking longer. I forget the web address for tracking it.

I would recommend getting a commitment from your salesperson to do a review when they get the allocation to make sure the factory stuff is right, and they also commit to review the port stuff and try to control that or comp you if they put crap on. My guy totally zzzZZZZzz'd on the whole deal AFAIK and now I've got to have them pull off those stupid ass door guards and unbolt the steps I didn't want, and of course I won't have my panoramic camera. But, I'll grit my teeth and just take the deal. Also, around here, I have a similar credit score, my bank is doing 3.75% for up to 60 months. I wish they gave a break for a 36 month but they won't. Sounds like my rate is decent though.

 

I would also say to stay in contact with them throughout if you tell them to remove any port options. I learned the hard way because I asked for three port installed options to be removed and agreed on the numbers. When the truck arrived it had all three (1300 total) and the best I could do is get their dealer installed extras removed (1000 total.) Not a big enough deal to walk, but they should have ensured the port options were removed. That damn phone and cable package is not worth 200 dollars and the stupid toyotaguard platinum is a rip.

 

thanks for the heads up, I had no idea I had any control of the options. I told my dealer I wanted an army green, MGM, or silver TRD OR DCLB and I’d prefer the premium package and tech package if they can find one with them. Can I ask that they request my truck be built with those packages? They said they’d try and find or trade for an allocation but I wasn’t sure what all they can control.

 

You guys should look into credit unions. I found 2.25%

 

They cannot control it. I requested same thing but short bed, with lunar rock/army green. going on 3 months with no word whatsoever from one dealer and just passed a month with another who sends me their allocations but nothing even close. I put my first request in on 11/24 and was told 3 months. went back on 1/7 and they told me 3-4 more months. That day I went to the other dealership and put down a deposit there. I'm going to stop by dealer #1 today to ask what's going on. I'm starting to think I'm never going to get what I actually want.
