I don’t off road or tow anything and drive slow. I think think that has a lot to do with it.

o_O Every 10k to 20k miles? So change my brake pads whenever I rotate the air in my tires. I don’t want 2022 air when it’s 2023.

It's not funny when you constantly feed people wrong info...

Don't be a troll on a Toyota truck forum.

    Interesting

70k on my 16’ and it appears I have a good amount of life left. I’ve never owned a vehicle that went over 20k on a set. My only concern is how tight everything is gonna be when I finally change them. Probably gonna need some heat.

I've gone about 80k previously to full wear. No issue removing the calipers / pads. But, we don't have significant corrosion here. I'd predict about 120k for the pads. Much longer than that for the shoes.

I would recommend cleaning the pins and peaking inside the drums every 60k.

    Work in progress...
I haven't worn out a set of brake pads since I moved out here in the middle of everywhere. On average I stop about once every 50 miles.

I’m in a high salt area. I did my dads 01 tacoma in 2010 at 86k and it took a ton of time to free the rotors. Everything else was butter.

Not a terrible idea to take everything apart and clean once a year. Have had to sledge hammer / drill off rotors before from the salt here in OH.

When I rotated my tires at nearly 20k, I lubricated the brake caliper pins too. Pads didn't even look worn, so I'm guessing their going to last a very long time.

189k (km) I did the fronts, just starting to squeal, but after reading this I don’t want to even open up the rears cuz maybe they’re fine? 6MT…
