When I test drove my truck I got the battery checked. Do it once a year imo

Well one thing for sure, you're probably doing better than the cars with auto start stop technology with batteries that cost twice the amount. Starters too:thumbsup:

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Stock battery died at 3 years on my '14. Got a replacement under warranty. Plan to replace 2nd one before winter. Had a couple -30 degree days last winter when it wouldn't turn over and had to jump it. Figure that can't be good for it. Will test it this fall and make a decision.

I have a 2015 and I think mines starting to go. It’s been very slow to start the last couple weeks, like it’s barely drawing enough power.

Purchased truck in March 2015, replaced battery the spring of 2016 or 2017. Wouldn't hold a charge for an 8 hour work day and had to keep it on a trickle charger at work and at home. Dealership couldn't get in to see me/warranty battery for two weeks (full appointments). They refused to give me a battery to install myself. I went to AutoZone and picked one up at my own cost and haven't been back to the dealership since. My truck does tend to sit for 2-4 weeks at a time as I travel a lot for work, however I've never had battery problems in any of my vehicles over the years except the OEM battery.

    A lot
2014 tforce Tacoma battery lasted 3yrs showed no signs of struggle ever woke up one morning and it wouldn’t turn over even slightly! Kinda pissed me off that a factory Toyota battery would die so fast for no reason, replaced with sealed agm

Your comment triggered me to check my water levels. Sure enough, the outer cells were very low. The middle cells needed a sip. Truck will be 2 years old next month with 27k on the clock. Thanks! I'm sure you just prolonged my battery lifespan.

Yep, I bet a lot of people lose there battery prematurely. Most people don’t think you need to check the battery. It’s easy maintenance, especially in warm climates.

A little over 4 years on my '15. Still cranks strong (although I probably just jinxed myself!)

    Just over 7 years.
Although, if you want to get technical, it was under the performance threshold around year 6. I chose to wait until it wouldn’t start my truck before I called it “No Good”
