Have a '15 TRD DCSB with the original BFG Tires. I have about 35k miles, and am thinking about replacing them. They're not quite down to the wear bars, but as we all know, Winter is Coming...

I do go off-roading here in Colorado to get to some remote trailheads.

Is 35k a typical amount of miles on these tires?

Thinking of Goodyear Wrangler Adventurer, FWIW.

Not sure what they are rated at mileage wise, but my ‘15 has 47k with some tread left. In your case I’d prob upgrade sooner than later though.

I got rid of mine at about where you are right now. Sounds like yours are wearing about like mine did. I bought Michelin Defenders. I've had them on my old T-100 for years when they were the MS2's. They are great in the snow, rain and on the road. If you have to do much off roading, airing them down a little helps.

I found the OEM BFGs to be awful for pavement, dirt roads, rain, or snow. They were not "tough" tires and subject to sharp object penetration too. I junked mine at 13k.

I had 55k on mine when I changed them, and still had 7/32 left.

My Cooper AT3's perform so much better though, I wish I had changed sooner (but my wallet is glad I waited).
