Push on the bumper, if you get too many bounces time to replace. You should have only one rebound.

Absolutely noticed a difference in ride. It also leans less around turns. I knew something was up with it the last couple months. Every time I hit the brakes it would nosedive and felt kind of squishy in front. Kind of reminded me of the 91 Buick Century that I bought from my dad.

approaching 180,000 miles on original suspension

Can't say it handles well or anything, in fact certain dips in the highway and other road bumps make it want to wander and jump all over. Still love driving it though, just saving up for replacement parts.

Take a look at your sway (oops, I mean stabilizer) bar links and their bushings. Those are the little 6-inch-long rods that have a "ball joint" on one end and that connect the sway bar to the lower control arm. You'll need to crawl underneath to see them.

One could be broken causing the side-to-side rocking motion.

I'm new to the forum but I thought the original shocks have a lifetime warranty?

Same basic shit everybody else had 5 years ago.
My Tokico's on my 2003 lasted about 120k which I think is normal. They were still holding together when they came off, but far from working. I have seen some on here in the 150k range fall to pieces when removed.

Went into dealer today to get nuts for o2 sensor replacement and asked. 36 month or 3 yr. I did look in the blue Toyota pamphlets that came with the truck. On pg. 6 of one of them it says shocks are lifetime warranty for original owner. I'm not original owner but sure sounds like the marketing department wasn't communicating with service department.
