Just for fun, I pulled out my spare on my '99 Tacoma today. From the lack of scratches on the tools to the grooves rubbed into the face of the sidewall I'd say it was its first time out. PSI = 12. Fail. How often do you check your spare/pressure in your spare?

I check it if the TPMS light turns on and all the other tires have the proper amount of air ;).

I check my 4 tires everytime I do an oil change and if/when they look low.

My TPMS light went on about 6 months ago because the spare was at 22lbs.

Not much. Step bars, K&N air filter
i dropped my spare on my 92 toy p/u every couple months and sprayed the spare tire hoist w/ wd40 to prevent rust. learned the hard way one night at 4am after leaving the titty bar and got a flat. the spare tire hoist was so rusted i couldnt drop the spare and broke one of my spare tools. if possible flip the wheel so the valve stem faces down for easy pressure check once a month. unless your doin a lot of off road driving.

this is one of those rare times I'm glad to own a jeep. my spare is vertical, and held over 3 feet off the ground... checking my air takes all of 2 seconds!

I have my spare installed air valve out and add 40 lbs of air which holds for a long time.So I check it every 2-3 months.

Whenever I get the low pressure signal, I check all my tires and all my wife's tires(including the spare)
