How long do you keep food before throwing it away......

    According to some of these posts I've been dodging the food poisoning bullet. I routinely use salad dressing that is months past its expiration date. Milk until it smells bad. Cheese, cut off the mold. Meat from the freezer that is sometimes a year! old.

    salad dressing stays in my fridge for months on end...and i aint scared of it...i however rarely will cut the mold off the cheese...i can taste the mold even if i eat off the other end of the block...and that makes me gag

    getting there....
    one time i decided to make cheeseburger hamburger helper.........didnt see if the milk was bad before hand.........made me a big ol plate, sat down to eat, took me a big ol bite............and that shit was rotten as hell!!!! i about puked right there in the kitchen!!!! bad milk!! went to make milk shakes the other night, and was just about to pour the milk in the blender........and i noticed it had some chunks in it. dammit...it was spoiled too. im checking my milk from now on!!!:D
