My plan when I bought this truck is that this will be the last personal vehicle for me. My last car was a 1984 Volvo 245, I tweaked the suspension with springs, sway-bars and tower braces, I added Volvo GT factory gauges, tach, oil pressure, amps and fuel economy gauge (vacuum gauge), car handled like a go-cart on steroids. I had 265,000 miles on the original motor and transmission, I gave it to a friend of the family, still running like a Swedish watch. My plan for the truck is the same. I'm 53 years old, if I can get the same out of my taco that I did my brick, this is it, I'm done. Now my wife's car, I will replace every seven years or so, Just makes me feel a little better knowing she is in a newer lower mileage car. Right now she has a 05 Camry V6 SE, this thing will lay rubber for a block.

Until it won't drive anymore, and because its a Toyota, that should be atleast 4-5 hundred thousand km from now. If not more.

    5 years or so.
Probably only have about 40K miles on her.
I usually get tired of the same vehicle.
Though,I may keep the Tacoma longer. It depends on the next generation look and options.

I'm going to be buried in mine.

I plan on keeping the Tacoma as my truck forever. After 10-12 years of ownership, I will probably buy an additional vehicle as a daily driver.

my 96 had close to 200,000 when i had to get rid of it becuase of the frame recall but it still ran like a champ. my uncle has a 91 with just over 300,000 and he still drives it everyday, never did any engine work to it.

I never did post how long I was going to try and keep my Tacoma. I am hoping to keep her until 200k miles. That should put me at about 15 years of ownership. Only time will tell. I do live in a state with nasty weather and roads in the winter time. If I do keep until 200k it would be a first I usually get a new vehicle every 3 years or so. I am 31 and on my 7th vehicle.
