I do this, helps a lot with gas too. :turtleride:

I have about 29,100 miles on the truck, last time I had the wheels off (which was about 200 miles ago) I saw very little use on the pads, both front and rear. I would hope since I don't brake hard and have very good braking habits, that the brakes would last over 100,000 before replacing.

I live in a rural area and don't have to use the brakes too much. 50K and still in great shape.

I know this car unrelated, but I just replaced the brakes on my camry for the first time at 122,000 miles, and to be honest they could have gone another 40 - 50k.
Now the Taco on the other hand, we shall see, she is rolling factory now at 31k

I have 3900 on mine and I need to go back to the dealer due to the warning indicatior sounding. I hope it is something simple.

I will probably check this weekend and see if I can fix it.

15k and mine almost look new... I'm pretty easy on brakes, my last car had 160k miles when I sold it and still had about 30% left on the second set over the life of the car.

Quick derail to brag on Toyota brakes.

I put new pads on my '05 4Runner V8 yesterday. At 65k miles, the original pads still had lots of life left, but last week while at the dealer, he said i needed new front pads, so I bought new Toyota pads on the internet, and found they weren't bad at all. Since I had them, I went ahead and changed them out and had the rotors trued. Also, the brakes are made for the pads to be changed without pulling the rotor or caliper off--something American vehicles should look into.

Anyway--Those are some stout brakes. 13+" rotors, true 4 piston (2 on either side of the caliper) floating calipers. I think they are the same as the pads I used on my '99 Land Cruiser.
