I spoke too soon! I'm at 78k now and they're starting to squeek. Not all the time though. Going to wait until it's more frequent then change them out.

Mine started doing the same thing. Turns out they got glazed from my drums not being adjusted properly (causing all the braking to be done by the front). Also my rotors were slightly warped.

91,000 miles here and still original. I tow occasionally but besides that highway and street use only. I'm not very careful with them but I'm not a racer either. I work for the state so I do alot of those really quick 65 mph to 0 with a semi trying to crawl up my trailer hitch in those highway turn arounds and they work fine every time.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I've got 33K miles original miles. I'd love to make 100K like some of you. I'm shooting for that.
I know, I'll just stop using the brakes.

I should clear up some things for the "spy". This is my work truck, I have a pilot car/escort business, and run all 48 states. Many times I have changed oil every two weeks (5k intervals). When I have this service done, mostly at Toyota dealers, I have them check the brakes, and adjust the rears as needed. I'm off for a couple of weeks now, and my trk is at my local dealer for service. They told me that I had the 4mm after they pulled the drums and measured. Sorry about the confusion.

Performance mods: TRD CAI, AFE throttle body spacer, Doug Thorley headers, TRD exhaust. Cosmetic mods: HID 10k head+3k fog lights, BHLM, T-rex 2 eyelids, billet grill (5 piece), 20% front window tint, 4% back window tint, tinted 3rd brake light, altezza tail lights, LED license plate lights, door skid protectors, slotted drilled rotors, plasti dip rims, painted rotor and drums. Interior mods: TRD seat covers, LED map and dome lights, 2 kicker 10' w/ 500 watt amp, pioneer door speakers, and Pioneer AVIC X930BT.
My original brake pads with original rotors lasted about 50k miles.Since I changed them,I thought it would be a "cool" idea to change the rotors too.My brakes are about at 20k miles with my new slotted drilled rotors.I want to see if the stock rotors and new slotted drilled rotors will make a difference on how long the pads last.

amazing how long these last....giving that they are not the strongest by any means.

i would think that since they are weak-ish that they would wear fast.

but maybe i'm thinking too hard :/

I recently had a flood and I think the salt water messed them up, maybe its just a mental thing and they didnt actually wear, they only have 4k miles on them. After the salt water got to them I obviously rinsed the whole truck with freshwater. Is it possible that my pads got messed up or am i just going crazy?
