Bought a new '94 T100 4x4 with automatic. Sold it a few years ago with 130 kmiles and it still had the original brakes, in good shape. Did a bit of towing, lots of offroading, but little city driving. Like an earlier poster mentioned, I always look ahead and back off the skinny pedal when it is time to stop. Also use engine braking whenever practical.

Bumpers, Mirrors, and Grill Surround painted to match truck. Tail lights tinted to match truck. AFE cold air intake. De-badged. 18 inch wheels. Calipers and drums painted black. trifold tonneau cover. Magnaflow exhaust dumped over the rear axle.
Replaced mine yesterday @ 118k. Rotors appeared smooth but had noticible shimmy at low speed, disconcerning vibration slowing from 70+, and vibration when driving 60-70. Pads had plenty of life left. I assume this was the second set on the truck, i've had the same set on it since i bought it at 60k miles.
The dealer wanted $110 a rotor and autozone had them for $35 apiece. I went with powerslot slotted rotors somewhere in the middle. Had good reviews on this site and others.
Hawk LTS pads seemed to be the unanimous choice everywhere i looked, so i forked out for a set of them.
After install, bleeding, and bedding in all three vibrations i had are gone. Smooth stops and no squeaking in the 50+ miles since yesterday. Saved a bundle versus what the dealer wanted to charge. $224 for pads and rotors, $8 for a c-clamp, and $7 for a six pack of beer.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
50K on mine and they feel fine. Haven't looked at them in a while.
