How long does it take to install a lift?

I havent heard anything on it when i was reading up

Once i left the disk lock on my motorcycle when i tried to drive off.... Well im sure my neightbours learned a few new words that day.

 

4-6 hrs max.I did an even harder lift kit in just 7 hours by myself,and I am 56 years old.

 

stop, return the shit spacer lift.

 

This unless you are doing it purely for looks.

 

even then... spacers lead to snapped shocks from bottoming before bump stop over stuff like speedbumps at the mall

 

Can we get some actual evidence of that, other than the same couple of pictures that have been floating around TW for years?

 

Every suspension lift I have done has taken me and a friend roughly 12 hours. Usually just taking our time, bullshitting, drinking beer, and using the wrong tools for the job. We usually have access to air tools and a torch though, so rusted nuts havent slowed us down much.

Those were full suspension lifts though, spacer lifts only take us a maybe 4 hours

 

Only lift kit available for 5 lugs are spacers also I’m not throwing my truck down a mountain, shocks aren’t gonna blow on me

 

Also as a side note, I’ve scraped the bottom in the front a few times when going through some rocky trails due to the rake on the 5lugs, so the lift is necessary

 

THIS!!! Fack took me 2 days to get a bolt free, if you have time and a spare vehicle I’d say garage would be fine but if you don’t have proper heat (torch) well... so with that in mind OP you make your decision !

 

took me 4 hours, but only cause my passenger lca was pretty fucken seized, took some finesse to get her to budge
