First Tacoma ever, have always liked them but needed a fullsize truck for towing. Bought 1 year ago this month off the lot. Love it so far

    Thats awesome!!!

In the FJC world or my 200 world, I don't see as many people trading older of the same gen for the newer one. Though lots of 200 owners now trading for the Heritage edition.

I personalyl traded my third gen 2018 for 2021.

I am curious - so many 3rd gen seem to be upgrade within the generation. Definitely interesting.

I have had mine since June 22nd 2019. It is my first.

    Only regrets:
Wish I got the long bed
Wish I got the premium package

    Yeah.
4th Tacoma, had this one for 3 years, just rolled 20K miles. Owned a '92 base model pickup (pre-Tacoma), '04 1st gen (smashed), giant Tundra during the first few years of the 2nd gen, an '09 Tacoma, a '12 Tacoma, now an '18 Tacoma.

Wife is on her 4th T4R, daughter has her 3rd.

This is my first Tacoma and new vehicle. I have only driven Tundras prior. I do love it; but every now and then I miss the 5.7.

This is my first truck. My dad had a 93 Pickup and traded it to a guy for a just new Taco and some cash-dude needed something less expensive. In 2006, because my family was outgrowing the jump seats, he sold it to my grandpa. Grandpa put about 20k miles on it over 14 years, grand total in Jan 2020 was 85k. I got the truck last January because we were trying to get rid of some things from the estate. Technically it's a 3 generation truck! I plan on keeping on it until the wheels fall off(looking at you LBJs)

I had a few reasons. My suspension on the 16 was on the decline and would shortly need replacement. I wanted HID or LED headlamps. I wanted a head unit with apple car play. And I was out of warranty. The cherry on top was my wife lost her job due to covid and all of a sudden we had problems paying off credit cards (emergency expenses and not managing our money "because we could afford it" got us in a bind). I had a bunch of equity in my truck. I sold the 2016 and pocketed $16,000 after payoff. Leased the 2021 for 39 months with $0 down. Now I have a new truck under warranty, paid off a couple of credit cards and a loan. Made our monthly expense obligations ALOT less of an issue. I'll probably just buy my 21 out at the end of term but we'll see. Im building a racecar too so I made end up needing to make the move to a full size for towing purposes.

It was a blessing in disguise, she was VERY unhappy at her old job and it was a 40 mile commute each way. She really likes her new coworkers and its less than 5 minutes from home. It all worked out well in the end.

I tend to keep my cars long term if they are any good. I had a 87 Mazda B2200 until 2002 that I bought new. The 2002 S10 was ditched after the motor blew at 22000. It was replaced with a 2004 Corolla that I had until 2016. Now I have my 17 Tacoma. The plan right now is that I will be gone before I let it go. Im 61 and the truck only has 28000 miles on it. Do you think I will be adding more to this link? Its to close to call.

My first Tacoma bought new in Sept of 2018. Might by my last as well. It appears to be aging well as am I. :)

    I do about 12,000 mile/yr.

Nice truck. What are the stats on your trailer? Any problems pulling? We're in the market for one, so real curious on your experience. (sorry for the hijack)

Third pickup truck, but my first Tacoma. Purchased it in 2019 from the dealer as a certified pre-owned 2018. It had only 62 miles on it. I didn’t think anyone actually did this, but the fellow who bought it new decided he’d rather have a Tundra, so he returned it. So I basically got a new truck minus a chunk of the initial depreciation.

Most counter space you find in any trailer of this size.

When loaded for camping it weighs 3250 with a TW of 400

My truck has no problem handling this setup. S4 + ECT, 2700 rpm all day long and electric brakes.

My current 2017 Off Road is my first Tacoma, bought brand new in April 2017.

The first Toyota truck I owned was a 1980 Hilux, standard cab, 2WD, 20R engine with 4 speed manual. I bought it from a friend of my dad's, who was the original owner, in 1986, kept it until 1997.
