I have had Toyota Trucks since 1985. My first Tacoma was a 1995 the first year they came out. Since then I have had a 2004 last of the first generation. Then I had a 2012 and a 2015. In between I had a 2016 4Runner. Now I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD OR. The best one was probably my 2004 short bed 4WD Tacoma.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
    Mine is my first Tacoma.
It took me 34 years to figure out that Japanese trucks are the only way to go.

First Tacoma, but 2nd truck overall. It’s a 2017 but bought new in January 2018, so 3 years. It replaced a Honda Accord. I couldn’t get out of the Accord fast enough and into this.

First Tacoma and first truck of any kind for that matter. Bought it used after some guy traded in for a GTI at a VW dealer. Didn't even know how to drive manual at the time, but now I absolutely love it and the truck. The huge support community was also a pleasant surprise and now I'm coming up on 30k miles. Almost one year with this beaut!20210407_215902.jpg

My 2017 is my first one and first "new" car I have ever owned. My previous car was a 2013 prius C haha love that little gas saver but yeah smiles per gallon is where it's at with my tacoma. My tacoma is honestly a confidence booster haha I don't care to admit that.

1st Tacoma. Had it since December 18th. Had been looking for about 6 months. Had a 1981 Toyota 4x4 that I bought new back then.

Oh yeah, after a few months I just did a simple stage 1 BM3 tune and it felt like I upgraded to an M3 for $500. That B58 was a beast.

Your second truck is exactly like the 99 I owned, same color, wheels and tires. The only difference is I had a low profile silver toolbox in the bed. It was a good little truck and my last single cab.

    Here's a pic of my 04
    CAM00642.jpg

The 04 and 16 shortly after I sold it to my son. He took my old OR wheels so it didn't feel like he was still driving his "dad's truck".

Not much on the 07 yet. 18 is gone, but was a greata truck. TRD Pro grill, Gator FX3, Homelink mirror, Black out badges & exhaust tip, Remote start. Future TRD exhaust, skid plate.
I'm on my 4th. Will have had it 3 years this summer.
95 1/2 Tacoma standard cab manual (1st Tacoma they came out with)
1998 Tacoma access cab manual (added TRD Supercharger, was fun)
2007 Tacoma access cab manual ( my nephew has this now)
2018 Tacoma double cab - auto, yep, getting old :(

    This is my 2nd Tacoma, I've had it 4 weeks. 2021 TRD Off-Road DCSB V6 6MT white

My first truck was a 1998 TRD Off-Road V6 5MT white. Sold it in 2015 unfortunately. As you can see, I miss it and basically bought a new version of the same thing.

First Tacoma and first truck. 2013 TRD Access Cab. Owned it since new; bought Aug. 2013.
    Currently, 103,000km (approx. 65 K miles).
It's my daily driver and hunting truck.
We bought it because of proven reliability and size.
    Have a great weekend.

Toyota must have put out the word, do a survey, on all comm channels.
I've owned lots of other auto manufacturers since I could reach the pedals.
As for Toyota in general, many. Trucks, also a few.
    Years ranging from 1977, 1980, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2004 (still own), 2021 (leased) to date.

    ‘21 Tacoma ordered
I ordered my extended cab, long bed, stick shift Tacoma back in February. It’ll be my first Tacoma and I’m hoping it’ll be a reliable and trouble free as what I’ve read, watched and heard. My buddy has one and he really likes it, it’s his second Tacoma. All the production being moved to Mexico has me a bit concerned but from the little bit I’ve read on this site it doesn’t seem to be an issue. I’m hoping my new truck is as reliable as my 11 year old DeWalt cordless tool set that was made in China. If given a choice I’ll always default to buying something made in Japan or the USA & Canada or parts of Europe but that’s not really how the world works anymore. I’ve had plenty of unreliable made in the USA junk over the years so that not really a guarantee that it’s way better.

Edit: just looked any my DeWalt tools were made in Mexico. Dang! I thought it was China but they say made in Mexico. That sets my mind at ease now about my truck.

I almost feel guilty thinking about buying a 2021 after this truck has run so well for so long.
