How long should one wait to go to Jiffy Lube with a new car of a new generation model?

    Yeah.
    They did the same to my truck when I let them rotate the tires for those first few services. You should probably check the wheel nut torque, too, although they seemed to be OK from what I remember. But pressure was high.

    I’ve used the quick lube type place for my old car.......it made it to 195k miles with no major issues before it gave up the ghost. It helped that this particular shop had a full glass viewing window that you could watch them work while waiting. So, it helped keep them honest and I always watched their work.
    My newer vehicles go to the dealer, 150k miles and no issues, just good service. It helps to be on first name basis with a high up manager too, though!

    In my experience, most places over torque. If my wheels are touched anywhere, I always double check the torque when I get home.
