I never buy aftermarket stuff because...
but I think this time around I may change my tune and swap out that chrome abomination for something similar to 2015 trd pro (or other fj40-esque). How long does this shit normally take?

I've got that one thing, and that other one thing, oh yeah and that other other one thing.
Took me about an hour to get mine all squared away, but that's because mine was getting cut up in the name of HomerTaco Grill inserts.

Thanks for the response, but I meant how long does it take for products to hit the market on a redesigned truck?

It takes months for a product to hit. There is the usual testing, prototypes, marketing and selling it. Also it depends on how big the truck is to consumers.

Thanks. I guess I'm asking if toyota plays nice with aftermarket guys because if they allow access, by the time the 2016 hits the market, they will have had months for the above.

For instance, day one of a new apple product release there are 3rd party cases and chargers and cables because apple allows select manufacturers to get access to dimensions and certain prototypes.

Good point. I could do that and however long it takes to get that sweet sweet fj40 white "Toyota" bar grill, I'll have something I can live with in the meantime.

Dimensions are nearly the same as 2nd gen so it should seem just as big.

I was talking about production wise! As in if the truck is produced in big enough numbers to get lots of business.

I don't get why people spend money on cosmetics... Waste imo. Spend that money on better quality parts that's actually do something

I never do, but c'mon, even for a guy that's very excited and happy with the new taco, the grill is simply unacceptable.

I don't get you. Every mod has a purpose. They may not all be the most "functional" but if it puts a smile on my face when I see it, money well spent. If improving/customizing the look of a taco is a waste, then this forum is filled with money wasters.

Toyota trucks might as well come in one color and one radio station as well.

I sure would hate to see the same truck anywhere I went.

Yeah, I can see that...I like stock looking vehicles, I like being under the radar (Hotrods and Classics are a different story)....I think in the '16 Taco's place...I dunno...I feel like something needs to be done to "that" face...like tossing a paper bag over its head...she ain't too pretty, but has loads of personality...

Have you seen the base model black grill? I think it might look real good on the TRD Sport. TacoGrill.jpg TacoGrill2.jpg
