My family has had 4 Toyota trucks -- 2 pickups and 2 4runners -- that all went about 250,000 miles without any significant issues. So as long as you don't abuse it and do the regular maintenance I think your chances of going 200K miles plus are very, very good.

Very low. I live on a rock, and I have more miles than that on my 2013. Plus it's been down for the last 8 months for the SAS

Longer than 99.9% of the population would care to own it, because 'shiny baubbles', more tech, more cupholders.

Assuming it's never wrecked, doesn't fall victim to road salt and it's well maintained, 200k shouldn't be a deep breath. 300k might need some new bits along the way.

You'll have to figure out how 'long' that is, based on your miles per year.

BTW, if you have high miles per year, but they are interstate miles, raise my numbers by 50-75%. Cruise is the easiest miles, on all systems, a vehicle will ever see. Steady operating temps, limited braking, minimal shifting makes for a happy ride.

I've got 346,### on my '07 AC, OR. Tons of highway miles, no off road. Kept it stock. Most $$ went into front end components. Engine, tranny & other compohave been fine. Keep doing routine maintenance and an eye on things, you'll do fine.
I too was skeptical of the 3rd gens so my replacement is a 2015 SR5 4.0 4x4 w Tow. Couldn't find the OR but figured I'd have what I was looking for w the tow package coolers.

2005 prerunner with 188k miles and still running good. The only issues were front wheel bearings & drive shaft U-joints. Replaced all four shocks. Replaced tranny fluid at around 140k miles.

I have a long work, highway commute. I bought mine with the intentions of keeping as long as I can. I've read about many member's trucks on here going a ridiculously long time. Just maintain the thing and keep good care of it and it'll likely last a very long time.

Depends where you live, rust usually gets a truck where I live. Miles or no miles.

If you drive it a lot I've seen 400-500k KM here no big issues

Hell I got 350k out of a 2000 cavalier z24 and engine trans etc were all fine when I sold it without any rebuilds. Body was rusting, especially lower areas like rockers

I'm closing in on 180,000 on my 07 and have done virtually nothing other than routine stuff like tires, brakes, batteries. I did replace shocks at 127,000 and a HVAC blower at about 150,000. That is it. I expect at least another 100,000 before major repairs.

I think the 2nd gen re sale values should be a tell tale sign of it's longevity.

I bought my '09 on October 24 of last year; one owner, always dealer serviced (same dealer), all recalls and TSBs done--with 135k miles on it--did not hesitate to buy as I considered that low mileage for a Tacoma...

Maintain it and wash it once a week in winter and it should last you for many years.

Got a 2013 RC....57k stills runs like the day I bought it.

It's always been serviced at the dealer in my town; I take it in on time every time for service.

Tundra, after Toyota bought it back they took it apart to study just about every component. It was still in remarkable shape. Google it, lots of articles in line.
