I’ve got a 2006 with 127k on it, almost got rid of it, instead got the frame replaced and dumped a bunch of money into it upgrading things, may not always be my primary vehicle but I’ll have it until it falls apart on me.

I'm 50 and this is my 3rd main daily driver. That's not to say it's only the 3rd vehicle I've owned. My last truck I drove 16 years.. so unless it just becomes so problematic .. or gets destroyed somehow .. I suspect I'll keep it as long, and perhaps longer. Only stopped driving the last one because my daughter started driving, so I wanted her in something I knew had been maintained well etc. And I was wanting a 2nd gen taco. Win win.

I give her lots of love feeding her only synthetic motor oil and other synthetic fluids since she was born It's not my daily driver but it's my go to vehicle (hunting, fishing, shooting, yard cleanup, etc) pickup and its all mine. My wife does not like driving it and that is the best part of having it. :bananadance:

Between 1 day and 8 years. 8 years is when my son would get it if I keep it that long. The truck is the 26th vehicle I’ve owned, so it’s already on borrowed time, but I see no reason to get rid of it, yet.

Until it dies a hero or lives long enough to become a villian. Wait... no I think that's something else.

I'm going to drive my truck until I simply can't anymore. I got it almost exactly how I want it for now and it's exactly the truck I was looking for when I bought it. I can't even imagine what would come close to replacing it.

My 2017 is my first new vehicle. The old me says I will keep it forever and run it into the ground like all of my old used vehicles. The new me likes not having to wrench on it. Which one will win? I am 45 and money isn’t the issue at all so who knows what I will do. My daughter had her 3rd birthday last week so do I run it and hand it off to her in 13 years? Do I trade it in a few and give her the next one when it’s time for another?

I will vote in 4 years when I have to decide if I want another new one or keep this one. Once I get my first scratch we will see if the honeymoon is over.

I'm on the same boat bro. I just couldn't find a good excuse for trading it in for a newer one. So I did the same thing, got new suspension and tires after the OEM stuff went pieces. Drives just as great as when I got it. '09 for the win.

It all depends......many variables play into consideration. Kept my 2007 for 9 years......

It was time for something new. I wanted newly appointed luxuries and features that the 2007 lacked. Aside from that - I just got the frame replaced and had 'issues' with it (major clunks, noises, airbox wasn't installed back on properly, etc). The truck treated me well and was an enjoyable truck to have and drive.... It was actually paid off the day we bought it (new) 9 years ago. If I could lump it into 3 things.......Enjoyment, Reliability, & Features.

In a perfect world I'd like to garage the tacoma and then buy a new WRX or something fun after the tacoma is paid off but we'll see. Either way the truck isn't going anywhere unless for some reason it doesn't fit my needs anymore.
