Depends on the port installer. I've seen some ugly cuts too. Also, there are 6 cuts in total

If I'm reading those charts properly, the bottom chart is 4X4 (?), if so it would appear about 8% are produced.

From the list above, the 7545 .7% cool info thanks. I would have thought there were more of them made than that. More limited than the Limited.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I'd not be happy at all with that. They need a trim piece etc to clean up the look. Seems very sub par for a Japanese vehicle.

my limited was built january 11th, its magnetic grey and the only options i had it built with was the tow package and rubber floor mats. The dealer tried to have it built like a red one they had an allotment for that had the cover and predator steps. When my truck came in to the dealer, it was the first limited they had seen. I only saw one before that at a dealer that was black and had the cover on it.

I think heated mirrors are standard on TRD level and above. I know I got them on my TRD OR, and the only option I got was the tow package (plus a few accessories), so that's why I figured they are standard on the TRD models and Limited.

No, mine came without a tonneau cover. My truck should be arriving from the factory any day now.

Was that MSRP? Where do you live? They aren't selling below MSRP in SoCal. And MSRP for a Limited is usually in the $39k range if it is fully loaded.

The tonneau's aren't a port option on the 2016, they're installed at the factory.

There is apparently an accessory cover now that may be port installed, but it wasn't that way when the 2016 launched. :)

Of course, we don't get either in Canada.

There is not going to be a limit on the amount of Limited models produced however, they are not pumping them out as fast as the other models. If you want one you will be able to get one, you just have to be willing to wait.

No wait for Limiteds in Georgia. I found the truck I wanted on SE Toyota website (doesn't say where it is but gives last 4 digits of VIN), found same truck browsing local dealer websites, went to dealer two days later and paid about $2K under MSRP.

    Basic overland stuff...
I'm in NC. Window sticker was around $40,070 with rubber mats and tow pkg. I had recently bought a 2016 Limited 4Runner 1-month earlier and told them what I'd pay. They balked at first and when I pulled off the lot the called and said they'd take it.

My sales guy said according to Toyota, they are only allocating 10% - 14% of tacoma production to Limited trim.
Their big sellers are TRD Sports so they get the bulk of production. So yeah they are "limited."

On my Limited I had to take the bed cover, no way around it. In the end it worked out and I actually like the cover. Only big issue is if you need to move something tall, you only have 2/3 of your bed. But those situations are far and few for me. Also, the thing is bolted down from the cab side, so it's not like our can open that section by itself.
