Mulch here is not cheaper bulk. 27 dollars a cubic yard when bought by the bag 34 dollars when bought by the scoop.

Still seems like you have a lot more room for more.

A better test is to see how manycases of beer a Taco can hold

I run 30-35 cases of milk 100 miles (each case weighs about 36 lbs = 1200-1400 lbs) up and down the hills of western Pa in my truck, no problem....stock suspension

I work for a dairy and I only run milk out of the back of the truck when absolutely necessary and outside temperature has to be below 40....maybe do it 10 times during the winter.

Old thread, but glad I stumbled upon it. I'm picking up 40 bags after work today with my DCLB. Looks like I better bring the trailer as well!!

    How far away is home?

Id carry that in the bed. But unload it when you get home don’t let it sit in the bed until you get to doing the project.

About 30 minutes each way. I was more worried about the space and actually fitting 40 bags after seeing post #29.

I was able to fit 40bags but I was on my bump stops. It was a doable load though.

Just curious while the topic is here, can a full yard fit in the back of a short bed? I dont think the weight is an issue, more concerned about the physical space to fit it.

It would just about fit. I made sides for my trailer because i didnt want machines dumping so close to the cab, even when they go to the smaller buckets. Im assuming your talking about bulk mulch.
