I heard some people are putting their cats in a cage so they don’t get stolen when they park their vehicles.

We get an average of 1 - 2 vehicles with stolen Cat Conv's. a week at my Dealership. That's not accounting for the local City/County Public Works vehicles that averages 2 - 3 a week. I have replaced stolen Cats twice with in a few months on a F550 that belongs to a local cities Public Works. And I have replaced Stolen Cats three times on the same E350 that belongs to a Convalescent Home.

    Then there's this...

A Local City Maintenance Yard was broken into over the weekend last August, the thieves broke into the mechanics tools boxes at that yard and used their tools to remove Cat Conv's. on something like 10 vehicles, most were F350's and F550's and a Chevy or two. The tools and other equipment were also taken. The next weekend, the same group did my dealership the same exact way. Our cameras showed that they were in the lot for nearly 6 hours removing Cat Conv's and breaking into our tool boxes, and pillaging through our customers vehicles. In total 8 Cat Conv's. were taken, and many other cars damaged, along with almost 9grand worth of my tools. They also stole a 1999 Mustang that I just got done replacing a clutch on, but waiting for a clutch cable. They got just a few blocks before they couldn't drive it anymore. ONe of those dudes was left behind and found hiding under a customers vehicle and taken into custody by the local PD. I have video of it that i'll post later..

Hey, if you let your cat out the house... what do you expect?
