    1 - Your cooling system capacity is 10.1 quarts. Thus, you need 5 quarts for the recommended 50/50 mix. Thats one gallon, plus a quart, of concentrated antifreeze (not the premixed formula). You’ll want a higher mix if you reside in the northern states, but no more than a 70/30 mix. I put 6 quarts antifreeze in my truck, then top off with distilled water.

    2 - Yes. I get rid of that pink/red corporate crap as soon as the opportunity arises. As noted above, you need to flush out as much of the old coolant first.
