How many miles are on ur Tacoma, & what all have u had to replace?

I have 165000 miles, Battery, shots all the way around, rotors, front pads, cadillac converter, 100000 mile maintenance and a kick butt stereo system.

 

164500 just took it in for the timing belt. And new front brakes. But runs strong. Just maintance. Also replaced the starter at about 145k.

Best truck to own. I'm even thinking about getting a 03-04 DC 4x4 next year just cant go wrong with 1st gens

 

1074 miles. Hoping not to replace anything for a very long time! Have owned many of these trucks with no problems at 250k-300k. Great trucks

Rotors, Pads, U-Joints, Light-Bulbs, Shocks, Leafs, Tires,

 

Just hit 174500, and I have replaced a few things.

Maintenance items,
Belts, Brakes, shocks, O2 sensors a few times. Front wheel bearings, but I was troubleshooting a noise, ended up being rusty drums. Rear exhaust, nothing up front.
No major parts, possible alternator soon, but I use alot of power.
Frame was sprayed almost two years ago.

 

68k on my '00 and the only thing so far is my head unit, and i think that was my fault because i tried hooking 2 extra speakers to it before i knew anything about audio. Thats it!

 

66k on my 07. went thru a clutch. Broke a brake line from jumping and the compass panel went out. other than that nothing huge and I beat the shit out of her.

 

So are you able to, at any time, convert the taco to a cadillac???

If so, where do I get this part at?

 

112k miles on my 06. 1 battery. both front drive shafts(crack boots), both front bearings(only cause why not while doing drive shafts. other then that the usual. rotor pads. and thats it. love my truck.

 

My 2006 only has 84150 miles and Ive already had to get a new alternator and just got a new rear seal put in.

Hi there. Newbie here and I've got a '95 taco 2.4L with 318,000. Original engine/transmission. Replaced a starter, ball joints, and radiator since I bought her at 100,000 mi.

 

I've got an 02 3.4 v6, bought it at 113,xxx now its got 120,xxx and the only major thing I've had to replace was the o2 sensor but it still runs great.

 

99 V6 176900
Replaced timing belt when water pump developed leak at 160,000.
Starter bushings ,clutch pedal bushing and rotors turned around same time
Still runs excellent

 

02 2.7 i4 Double cab. 250000 and my speed sensor broke at 230000

 

85xxx: timing belt, t-stat, water pump, drive belts, front and rear suspension, spark plug, steering rack bushing, battery, brakelines, TSB ball joint, headlight, all fluids changed, AC recharge, brake rotor and pads, exhaust and something else I might forgot.

 

@ 59K and have replaced a PS pump and rebuilt the replacement. Installed a PS cooler but didn't help now rebuilt pump is leaking. It also sounds like either top / bottom ball joints are going out on passenger side.

 

98600 on my 04, had to replace 2 power steering pumps, a new battery at 60k, new front brake pads at 90k, did the timing belt and water pump, had all new belts put on, and new left rear axle seal and idler tension pulleys. runs like a champ just reg. oil changes!

 

My '02 list with 63400 current miles;

A) Re-framed by Toyota in '09...new struts & shocks,ball joints included in this..

B) Front brakes 7/11

C) rear brakes w/axle seal 7/12...if the seal had not blown brakes were good for another 40-50k,,,,vent was plugged,cleaned and added vent extension to NEED list

D) 4 Newer tires & wheels - '09 TRD wheels w/General Grabber AT2's jumped up to a LT 265/75/16 from 265/70/16 P metric ; July 22/'12

E) drivers side CV replaced w/oem ;boot started to tear..7/'10

F) rear u-joints (PIA) needed machine shop, one joint was seized....one cap out of the 4 was dry 4/'07

G) Cat-back exhaust by Lou's 2 weeks ago ,original muffler finally gave up after 10 years

H) front '02 sensor; 7/10 with oem ; another item that was replaced by oem for longevity....

Everything else has been regular oil changes/filter at 5000 miles and a K&N air filter being cleaned/oiled at 7500 miles.....

Almost forgot;passenger door window glass in 2006; you can not shut those doors with TV's against them ,glass goes BOOM

 

Interested in the Cadillac converter phenomenon. Where can I find this lol
