107k, replaced spark plugs and timing belt (regular maintenance) and break rotors (didnt raise the break proportioning valve when it was lifted and warped my rotors).

    It's paid for.
    a buncha fuckin toyotas
    115k on the odo.

    And I've broken 3ish parts.

BUT!!! Here's how it went down:

Had a 1999 with 90K on it, it got totaled.

Bought a rolling 1995 chassis and cab with 40K on it.

Put the two together in 2009.

Titled as a 1995. Engine and Drivetrain from 1999.

Since I've started driving it I've put 25K on it.
    All of this has happened:

I've changed the fuel pump, which was already on the 1995, and sitting in the yard for got knows how long. So... I blame that on not being used for years.

I also replaced the steering rack, which was also part of the 1995. And I'm pretty sure I'm the one that broke it. :D

In the process of replacing the rack, I broke the clockspring in the steering column... So yeh...

    1. Fuel pump
    2. Rack
    2.5 Clockspring because I'm a dumbass.

I'd say all things considered... I'm doin allright. :)

The front shocks on my 07 Tacoma with 85k miles last 10-11 months and then blow out. That was true for the originals and also for four sets of KYBs. The KYBs were replaced under warranty but changing them got old so last time I sprung for Bilsteins. Hopefully they last longer. I drive 10 miles on a rough gravel road each day so am hard on shocks but this was nuts, we haven't had this problem with other trucks. Maybe the strut design causes overheating of the cartridge.

Aftermarket tranny cooler, 5100 Series Bilsteins, ToyTec Bilstein front coilovers, SPC UCA's, Alcan leafs, Class 3 Hitch, Tundra Front Brakes,
76K and change. I can't believe that the factory Bilsteins are blown to bits with such low miles. I already order a set of 5100/5125 and as soon I get to FL I'll replace them.

The dealer I bought my Taco from, replaced the coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid. I'll probably be doing the rear diff, transfer case and tranny for peace of mind.

Well i guess ill hop on in this.

    I own a 99 prerunner.

Owned it since its had 70k on it, and now its soon to hit its 200k mark

So far, i have replaced quite a bit, but its been a great runner.

First thing that went out was the starter, soon as i got it, like 2 weeks later the starter took a shit, along with a noise in the rear end. Turned out it was the differential and toyota covered it to get fixed.

The normal brake jobs, 1 time of getting new rotor's, the normal sparks, tires, wipes, belts, oil, ect. Things we all get for normal service.

4 windsheilds, 3 breaking from tailgating on the freeway, 1 from having the truck vandalized while @ a concert. Along with the driver side window that had to get changed.

Center dash got replaced with all factory Toyota oem plastic shit. Since the people trying to steal the shit totally failed and couldn't even get the stero out, just broke some plastic.

Around 150k i got the first timing belt change on the truck, and the belt looked as new as the one in the package.. not even sure why i was changing once i seen it.

Then around 165,000 miles, the truck completely lost power. Going up hills or any grade at all it would chug along, then miss before it would downshift.
Got very worried about the tranny, but i tried to find the issue. Went into a few different shops, got plugs, they checked compression, it was all good and they ran tests on it. Couldnt find anything.

So i said hell with it, if they cant see whats wrong, ill just deal with the miss until something breaks.
Around 190,000 miles, 25k later after the missing, still having the problem..
Bring the truck into toyota to get a fan clip that holds the plastic together, and when the mechanic came out to just throw it on quick, he looked at the the spark plug wires, and told me "Great toyota eh?". When i asked what he meant, he pointed out that the spark plug wires had "1998" written on them, showing they were made in 98, and put in the truck the first yr it was out, 1999.
Well, That means those wires lasted 190,000 miles, and many many yr's. Soon as i heard that, walked back in toyota, bought wires, had em changed, and its felt like a whole new truck with a ton of power, and never misses or chugs at all.

Then i got the shocks/struts changed. Made it ride alot better.
Also at the same time, i got the steering rack done, because it was leaking some fluids, and was very loose and made the tires have bad wear on them.
Turned out nice after putting all the suspension work into it, then getting new tires. felt like a whole new truck with 190k on it.

Well, After all that, i had no more complaints, everything worked as it should.
Went and got the U-joints changed to try to stop a noise i hear, but that didnt work.

And then ofc the theifs come back along, and decide to hit up my town for all our toyota trucks cata converts. which all of us toy owners of the taco's know that its a big thing to steal those converters for the cash they make in platinum.
Well, go to start up truck, loud as hell, look down, and see 4 foot of exhaust pipe cut out, o2 sensor and all. So i make the report with local PD for the report for insurance, and insurance paid for new exaust from the head, to the
tail pipe, gave us a whole new toyota muffler and all, done by the toyota dealer.
$2600 it costed for the insurance company, thank god for 250 deductible.
But yeah, here are the moron's that stole my cata converter. http://blogs.sacbee.com/crime/archives/2011/04/catalytic-conve-1.html

After all that, just the normal old maintenance, changing fluids, ect.

No problems since, knock on wood, and hope the best for my taco. hitting the big 200k here in a few.

All in all, its been a great truck, and does its job. Always been a toyota owner, always will be one.
Their parts may cost more, but overall, its worth it for the great vehicle.

New driver side door lock. Some bastard used a screwdriver and hammer and broke into the truck...to have a smoke.
Eventually a new A/C compressor. Was overseas when a bigger truck hit my truck and bent the front bumper and killed the a/c.
Eventually a new antenna. Someone stole it.
Full size spare replacement. Out of state and someone stole it.
Tire repair/replacement. Had a flat tonight. Luckily work had an air pump. Not sure what it'll be like in the morning.
Oh, and the third cup holder with the clamps is semi broken.

'02- V6, Xtra, 4WD w/174K, replaced the usual consumables, (battery, brakes, tires, spark plugs, filters, etc.), second time for water pump and timing belt, also had to replace 02 sensor, cats, then added headers, K&N CAI, exhaust system (mine had a pinhole due to rust/rot), shocks (F&R), a lot of this was done when I had the TSB frame recall work performed, windshield (once recently, plus new one now has a small "star" in it), cup holders are broken....but I would have to say this baby seems bulletproof!

i got my truck with 155K miles last year..... it has 190k on it now "/ and i really haven't done nothing to serous yet. of course when i got it it had so many problems that i had to fix like, the knock sensor, spark plugs, rear shocks, tires, ball joints & tie rod ends along with the rack & pinion bellows, u-joint, one of the rear axle shafts was bend so i had to replace the shaft, alternator twice now but because i have a sound system and i rock everytime i drive. and thats it, sounds like alot but because the last owner didnt take care of the beauty so now that i have it shes running like a champ and no problems.

96 Taco, 238,00 miles. Replaced cracked exhaust manifold @ 215K changed the cat too, broke a ball joint @ 225K so I replaced uppers and lowers along with tie rod ends. Decided to replace wheel bearing this week @ 238K. 2 sets of brakes. Clutch replaced at 195K (that's the last time I try to drag a 28' palm tree). Valve cover is weeping now. Burns no oil...
