    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I am absolutely going to do hood shocks... I just have a pile of projects in front of them.

I bought the light strips and switch at O'Reillys... the lights were, like, 33 bucks.

    I have mods
Are you going to run all 4 breathers into the one filter? Would keep it a lot cleaner that way.

Yes. They will all branch in to that one filter. All the splices will be under the truck

They have 3M adhesive on them. I ran all the wires in the hood support structure and to the driver corner of the hood. Then I just ran the wire in plastic wire loom to the driver corner and wired the switch mounted on my fuse box panel.

The 3M adhesive seems to hold really strong but I'll probably end up screwing in small tabs to hold it. Not sure I like trusting adhesive tape to hold up something that could fall in to the engine fan.

That’s kind strange, I’ve never had a bad injector before with all my miles and never
taken one out either needing a cleaning.
You sure that motor only has 54k on it?

I checked the vin with all the service records and it looks legit. I did the valve cover gaskets and the top of the heads looked really great.
I think the truck sat a lot. Almost all the rubber had to be replaced, bushings and valve cover gaskets.
It looks like the gas tank had been replaced from rust before. I imagine that caused the fist injectors to fail but the inside of this tank was amazing and spotless inside. From what I hear the gas sitting in the injectors and not being ran enough can cause them to go.

Something doesn’t add up, the old injector you are showning Looks wrong
for your year 1999 and it looks like it has a million miles on it.
The other thing strange too is if that motor as 54k on it, it should be squeak clean under
the valve covers with little to no sludge build up.
If you look at you spark plug tubes they are coated pretty good with a thin coat sludge.

I replaced my motor at 490,000, The motor I have now has 200,000 miles on it and the inside looks like new still with zero build up on the spark plug tubes and almost zero build up on the heads.
Maybe your engine is not original or a lot more miles some how, or the previous owner didn’t do any maintenance.
    Just my thoughts
My valves below in 1st photo with 200,000 miles
