how many miles are on your guys v6's

I met a guy with 4 runner a couple weeks ago who had 800,000 miles on a 3.4. Just belts, plugs, oil and filters. and a few transmissions....

125k miles and still very strong and oh so smooth

 

Feelin' good so far. Truck sat a bit when I purchased it in 2005 with 86k miles for $12k. Drove it only on weekends.

Around 2009 it went into full-time use for city driving for about 2 years. That's about the time the cats failed, likely because old / insufficient OEM (Sumitomo) spark plug wires. Changed plugs, wires, cats, fuel filter, a pesky electrical problem I couldn't fix myself with right tail light, coolant flush, and front brake job.

Then in 2011 it was used about 50% city / 50% highway. Now coming into 2013 and I haven't needed to do anything except I'll need brake pads soon. Pretty darn good vehicle, runs real smooth.

Now with gas at $5.00, been considering adding mod to go natural gas and include a switch in the cab to go back and forth as needed. From what I've seen on YouTube, mod takes about $800 to $1200 and cuts emissions and fuel cost substantially.

got a 2001 double cab that I just rolled 200,000 and going to try and make 300,000. I don't think my wife is to happy but man I don't want another payment right now and It would be a new tacoma.

 

Brand new owner of a 96... with 251k. The previous owner did the timing belt, water pump, and re-built the heads 15k ago.

162,000 here, no issues other than the usual, water pump and timing belt.

 

200k today

 

I bought mine a few weeks ago with 250k on it. Runs perfect. Original automatic transmission shifts perfect too. Preventative maintenance can go a long way.
