Yeah you're probably right, but why chance not only the pump, but getting stuck on the freeway miles away from a gas station?

I agree. Why take the chance when you honestly don't have too. Its a potential problem that can be so simply avoided. Gasing up doesn't take that much time, but breaking down sure does!

God forbid if this guy owned a Tesla. He would never be able to go anywhere because the battery would always be dead and he has no time to charge it. I can tank my entire truck, quad, side by side and the wife’s car in 5 min. Not sure if this is a joke or somebody that just wants to break down and walk.

I think gasing is way over rated!!

Just drive until you run out. Then call a towtruck and have them tow you to a gas station, and only then gas up. Think of all the time you'll save not having to drive into all the gas stations and gasing up unnecessarily.??

Losses are incurred in the rounding. Converting between Imperial and metric measurements always has a leftover -- never a clean or simple number -- so the result is rounded after a certain level of precision. So it's those thousandths and ten thousandths that really add up over billions of tons of goods exchanged every year. Believe me, the losses are significant, and would not even exist if we had switched to metric when we had the chance.

This would make a good partial plot for a superman movie. Or maybe a movie set in an office

This assumes the loss is always in ones direction. Rounding goes both ways.
