I just traded my 16 in w/ just over 86k. Got to love the way these Tacos hold their value.

 

Yesss! When I traded my 2015 prerunner in I was blown away.

bought it for 30k, drove it for exactly a year to the day and put 20k miles on it. I got $29,500 for it when I traded it for my 2016 TRD.

Now don’t get me wrong, they tried low balling me at first. Used car manager was a dick, literally snatched the keys to test drive it like it was a hassle that I wanted an appraisal. Offered me $16,500. I was like WHAT??? I ended up leaving. Went back up there two days later and spoke to the general manager. I told him the story and also informed him that they had a 2013 4cyl base SR on the used lot for $29k. How are they going to offer me basically 1/2 of that for my 2015 SR5 v6?? He apologized and made it right. Gave me $29,500 for it and also discounted the new truck another $2,000. I guess bottom line. Never accept the first offer even if it is close to what you want....they can always come up. Also, check the prices of the used comparable trucks on their lot to see what they’re asking for them.

I have 63k miles on my taco and the problems Ive had so far is the digital speedo reading 10 mph at a stoplight, my passenger airbag/seatbelt light wont turn off even though it is buckled (happened 3 times already), and a cracked head gasket. I guess I have bad luck

 

Just found this thread- my ‘17 Sport MT CCSB has 41k. Issues so far, all under warrantee:
- new power steering everything (lines, pump, everything involved. Went out at 33k with a leak) cost about $2200 for toyo
- new AC everything (28k) switch, lines, Freon tank or whatever it is, compressor, everything. Cost them about $3400.

Clutch squeaks. Suspension squeaks. There’s a squeak above my glove box only at cold temps.

That said, I do love the truck. It is prob the best reasonably affordable truck for my lifestyle. And I’m not just rambling about the issues I’ve had. I’ve been without my truck for 3.5 weeks due to the above. For reference, I had a ‘10 single cab MT for 70k mikes with zero issues. One more serious problem and I’m going in a different direction. Shell shock with the new full size prices tho

2017 I bought in November 2017 with 6700 miles on it. I have 35,650 on it as of 1/28/22

 

2016 is just under 30,000 trouble free miles. I bought it new.

 

2016 with 320,000 miles on it and still love it

Is that 320k the combined of BOTH of your trucks?

 

I bought my 2016 TRD OR used. In the 3.5 years I have owned it, I have put 50K miles on it, but mostly recreational miles as I am retired. About 12,000 miles of this stuff on it now.
