    Hey sour,
It's funny because I have my topper off my truck because I am going to deliver a motorcycle to GA and didn't want to pull a trailer all that way and it seems like my MPG has improved with the topper off but I haven't checked it yet. I've had my 2002 2.4l auto since new with the topper and I always get about 20 MPG city and 25 MPH highway.

future plan of 2" drop and any type of rim thats not a steelie. grille and BHLM mods, maybe....
just finished a 1407 mile trip.....first tank was 3/4 full before the trip, got about 23.7 mpg. straight highway about 70mph and TRAFFIC jam, i got 26.3 mpg. next tank was all highway with 2 stops for coffee :) and just over 27.3 mpg. Last tank on the way back up i hit 28!!!!!!!!!!! it was mostly highway with some traffic, but mostly 65-70 mph. i was hoping for better as my 2.8L canyon CREWCAB 5 spd 2wd got 34 on the same trip.....but i was weighed down with 2 2wd Isuzu manual transmissions, a 3rd member 4.56 posi, and luggage and the wife (she was in the cab, not the truck bed :)

overall i was happy, learned to rev the motor out, not to bog it down and uses less gas. just changed the oil before the trip too, want to cut open the 1st filter to see what the filter caught. 1470 miles at the first oil change....seems the more the truck wears in it should start to get better mpg. its just at around 2900 today...

You should have about 3 gallons left when the light comes on. I would not push it past 50 miles myself. I hate pushin'-cept tween the sheets.:)

Hope mom was well, and thats good mileage. Makes me less worried about a big MPG hit when I increase my tires and wheels to that size.

I'm getting 21.5 - 23 mpg according to my Scan gauge. It fluctuates because sometimes I use A/C and sometimes I don't, plus city vs highway driving. I may be going to Kittery ME on Thursday which is all highway for me. I will report with my fuel mileage results if the Taco makes the trip.

I drive a 2010 4x4, regular cab. Put in 16 gallons today. Odometer read 330 miles. So mpg was 20.625 I feel pretty good about that considering it's city driving.

I usually get 450 miles before the light comes on. On my recent road trip to Chicago I got over 430 miles to a tank with the AC on 50%, while cruising very, very, very fast....

Im usually between 250-270 on all city, probably half pulling a trailer. I think my tank holds 14 gallons... usually 18-20 mpg. Not bad considering the circumstances

well this last tank i got insane mileage i was actually really confused, and this was with just city driving maybe an hour of highway driving for the whole tank. i got 420.2 miles on the trip meter and filled up with 16.894 gallons of gass.

so 420.2/16.894= 24.87 MPG wtf huh??? haha either way i was way happy!!
