did you notice any difference in performance after doing this? I'm not far off from that mileage and have wondered what the inside of my intake looks like.

And what did you use to clean all that crud from inside the runners!?

Well, I was 9 bolts away and 2 gaskets
I decided to clean everything while I was in there
She runs awesome now, but bc cleaned intake/plenum/TB/iAC/new RM injectors/cups all at once….can’t say cleaning gained HP or anything but definitely 10 times better afterwards

    buy stock in brake cleaner!
Between this job^^^ and the T cover gaskets I replaced……I was $100 in on brake cleaner easy

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You can save yourself some of the brake clean if you just buy a bucket of xylene and leave the aluminum parts in it overnight.

those pieces have NOT been removed off my rig in nearly a quarter million miles since the first VCG weep was nipped
does blow-by oil from the driver side VC vent hose cause that buildup? or the PCV hose from the passenger VC vent

    To answer your Q
    I don’t know

when I was gifted the Taco, was running perfectly except for “hot no start” condition
But was leaking/seeping like a stuck pig
from every where. No drips on driveway though!!!!
AC compressor bracket had 3-4mm of that dirt/oil coating

as I got deeper into the rebuild, I was like “I’m in there, might as well do it correct “ mode

    as far as blow by
I installed a cheap oil separator I had in garage 2 months ago. Just for shits and giggles, I unscrewed the small dip stick, it started whistling! No doubt I have blowby
