How many miles is on your 2.7?

Mannnnn, the 2.7L appeals to me so much for the reliability aspect of it. Sometimes I bitch at the 3.5 in the power department, so I may not have been happy with the 2.7 but I do envy you guys that have one.

 

Regular maintenance.

I had to replace the OEM starter last year at around 345K. Brake booster a few years ago as well. Nothing easily DIYable.

 

Holy Shite - that's incredible - I have 155K - had to do calipers - one side twice - cat back because of rusted hangers - pipe was OK - + regular maintenance. Thanks for the reply.

 

Bought a 21 SR a year ago and already got 20k on it. Love that little 4cyl.

 

This! And knowing Toyota is probably going to get rid of it makes me want it more. It’s the most reliable engine and once it’s removed from new vehicles that’s it. I really want one but I love my truck.

 

380,000 2.7 and still drive it daily!

As far as I know....it's a 5 speed. Had it right at a year now and the guy I bought it from said it was all original. I don't think he would fib, was pretty straight up about the truck when I bought it....Clutch is strong and it shifts smoothly...I've got a pic of it on this thread somewhere. First time on the forum since last year...

 

Anything but normal maintenance ?

 

All been regular maintenance stuff. Or things involving wear and tear from specific work related motions. Do have a few minor issues involving sensors. Over 360k now

Brake pads, x3 or 4 I think. Couple sets of spark plugs. Still running factory wire set to plugs. Had some parts related to tailgate replaced. Check engine light related to position sensor on crank ignored. One new battery. Replaced main belt too but the old one still had a bit of life. Maybe new alternator, can’t remember. Look at my post history

27k on my 2013 now.

 

111k km on my 2016.
Never an issue.

New fluids, battery, belt and plugs at 95k km.
Stayed on top on driveshaft greasing.
Stock front shock bushings just went now at 111k km. Doing Bilstein 5100 all around soon.

 

2015 5speed 4x4
Just an old grandpa truck. Just had an alignment done, some reason it’s eating the front tires. Was out some so will see if that helps, running 235-85-16 Toyo AT III. About to do fluid change on everything. Only thing I’ve done is swap out a stuck caliper.

2021 2.7 SR AC 2wd... just about to hit 78k, nothing but oil changes and a diff fluid change at 40k.

 

Ha thanks, nothing special. Even though it doesn’t have many option if any, it’s one of my favorite Toyotas I’ve had and I’ve had several.

 

Mine's a 2017 and just rolled over 180k on a 2300 mile roadtrip, no serious issues besides regular maintanence.
