So I had to put of my Tacoma purchase due to a deployment but now im back and in the hunt for a DCSB :) . I was curious though , how much would you consider too many miles for a Tacoma ? Im looking to spend 20K (before taxes) and it has to be 07 and newer . Im I wrong to not want to buy anything with more than 75k miles?

    Currently looking at this guy

i bout my 05 with 142k last feb. and i have put 24k on it since then. its a toyota man if its under 250k in my book its still got a long road ahead. i have had to put a u joint on mine, and the guy i bought it from had just had the efi cleaned new plugs and wires, and as far as i no thats it. check it out make sure it hasn't been wreaked. (some wreaks dont show up on car fax crazy huh?) check and make sure the bed lines up straight with the cab, all the trim lines look good check the frame for warps (and rust while ur down there) and take the oil cap off and look to see if there is a tar build up on the cap or up the around it, dip stick scorched and stuff. if it all passes and u can get a good deal i say take it. I personally wont ever buy any thing that has any remaining warrenty on it because i think its a waste of money IMPO.

That one on autotrader you found doesnt seem like a bad deal at all. I personally think the best thing to do is look at the KBB prices and check a bunch of places online and compare to see what other similar ones are selling for so you get a better idea. Plus look at the options...the one you are looking at is only 2wd and not a TRD model. Not saying you need a TRD model but some people prefer the top of the line models.

cargurus.com is prolly the best site i have found for lookin for cars (found my wifes 07 rav4 on it) it takes an instant market value of each vehichle and lists in in order of best respective deal. so that would take out the worry about finding a base model 2wd with 100k miles that is $2k less than a decked out 4x4 trd truck w/ 50 kmiles because it would list first since it is a better deal
