I'm one of those weirdos that is pushing the limits of the timing belt. I know if it breaks I'll be stranded. I know it is advised to change it at 90k. I'm curious as to how many people have pushed the limits and by how far...maybe we can see a trend and realize timing belts will last quite a while. So if you care and aren't going to criticize, post how many miles you have on an original timing belt.

    I'm at 247k on the original. :)

I'm not surprised actually. I did our old 4Runner at 146k and it looked perfect. All the pulleys were perfect too, water pump wasn't leaking, etc. But it was my wife's truck and she was very pregnant so I changed everything. I never would have heard the end of it had it left her stranded.

    Pretty well stock
My '03 V6 has 94,000 miles on it now. I think I am supposed to change it out at 110K or something like that.

335K (KMs) on mine. Pretty sure the 5vzfe is a non interference engine anyways.

Indeed it is. No worries if it breaks, just watch out for it slinging around in there. Still recommend regular maintenance of it.

X2... T belt service I believe is listed in the FSM @ 90k
changed mine at 100k (new idlers/tension'r/belt)
^ belt looked fine, could see that going on much longer

but I think regular service intervals for the other components...
(ie: water pump, idler's, tension'r, etc,)
will keep you happier, longer. ;)

I am just changing mine at 120K. HOWEVER, you should be more worried about your water pump leaking.
