I always thought it would be interesting to see a thread with only people with like 250k plus and what, if any, major work has it taken to get there. We all know they can make it to 200k pretty easily.

You really just want to hear how many miles everyone has? Seems boring if there is no baseline to go up from.

EDIT: I have 138k on my 06 4.0 auto if that interests you, and I didn't want my post to sound mean just a thought.

You are on borrowed time with your battery 10 years old, I might consider buying an OEM battery next time if my Everstart Maxx battery doesn't last as long as the OEM. My last OEM battery lasted 7 years, so they do last a long time and heard the CCA amps are what the Tacoma requires, with more CCA the battery doesn't last as long.

I was at the gym and picked up a magazine called "Handyman" and they had an article about how to buy/maintain your battery. They interviewed the head of Johnson Controls, which dominates the car battery market and his advice was to match the OEM battery for CCA. He said higher CCA isn't better and will not last as long.

Mine still has the original factory battery too. It's -18 today and I've noticed the it's not cranking as strongly as it should. I will be replacing mine soon with a dual battery setup.

Did you just say your battery is 18 year old? If you are using an OEM on a 2006, how can it be 18 years old?

10 years --- date still on the battery. I even checked with the dealer. They said it had never been changed and the truck build date represents the battery stickers as well.

Could be wrong, but since this was serviced by the dealer entirely, I have to believe it.
