How many miles per tank of gas?

441.5 miles/18.648 gals= 23.67 MPG

 

On a recent trip back from Nj to Texas, I got 412.9 miles on one tank. I thought that the gas gauge was broke. I stopped for gas when the 1/8th tank dash light came on. I was amazed. I have never gotten more than 300 miles before. I still am amazed.

 

About 215 miles of 70+mph, 125 miles of country roads/two mountain passes, and the rest stop and go traffic/40mph roads. 4x4 v6 DCLB. I ended up taking this tank another 15 miles city and hand calculated got 24.5mpg over the 420 miles.

Filled up and gauge said 398 to empty I think it was.

 

I Usually average 280/tank. Went 300 last week which I was pretty stoked about.

 

412.7 on this tank, 18.739 Gallons to fill and hand calculated out to 22.02 MPGs

 

I'm usually in the 17 - 19 range.
265/75R16 AT2 tires with sliders and a top, but the top didn't change anything.

 

250/270. 285/70/17 Toyo MT's / OV tune / 2 inch lift. And I always fill up when the light goes on.

I also don't live where it's down hill both ways while I push my truck to get 900 miles a tank.

I’m getting about 383 per tank with 255/85/16s (E rated) and rock sliders

 

I think a lot of the numbers on here are a bit entertaining without some sort of reference... Joe Schmoe with an sr5 2x4 extended cab on stock tires is going to get better mileage than some DCLB 4x4. Plus the aftermarket wheels/ tires and other heavy goodies. 24.5 mpg on any amount of mountain passes in a 4x4 DCLB is ridiculously good. I have a 4x4 DCLB myself with 265/75-17 A/T tires on wider rims and have gotten 21 driving like a granny. Usually 18-19 and when I fill up it normally tells me about 400 miles.

 

Yeah, that tank was way above average due to the 200+ plus miles on the freeway. If I hold 70-72 I can get great fuel mileage usually. Just depends what part of the freeway I’m on and if there is any wind.

Wind destroys this truck. This past weekend I did about 55miles on southbound i5. Nasty wind out of the SE netted me 21.5mpg. The way back north my display read 26.5mpg once home...

This tank has been pure work commute with crappier than normal traffic. Plus much colder mornings. Display says I am around 19.5mpg for the tank. Probably be the norm for a while.

 

Mine is weird. When I fill up it shows I only have about 285-310 miles for distance to empty. But my average MPG is around 21.5-22.4 usually. When I use trip A to check my milage, I can get about 375 - 400 miles on a full tank of gas.

Live at about 3700' elevation also and drive between 25-85 mph usually. City and highway driving.

 

Question, When I got my 2016 Tacoma 4x4 limited, it showed that I would get 412 miles on a full tank, then it went down to 282, now it's at 372.
Can anybody explain what's going on here?

wow this is crazy! im getting 420 miles min! my best tank was 460 and thats when i drove all freeway keeping it at 65mph. Yet another reason i got the slow ass 2.7!!

 

Also have a 2.7 and have no regrets!

 

380-400 average. Only pushed it to 420 once. But I climb 2 mountains on the way to work so...

SR5 Double Cab, 2wd, stock everything, no accessories that would add any significant weight, 95% city driving, 5% maintained unpaved roads
I average 425 miles per tank.
I frequently drive much further than the "Distance to Empty" warning.
I did remove the lower chin/air dam thing. Maybe I should add it back on for additional mileage!!

 

On a full tank i average about 630 Kilometers till empty (Canadian)
