My mpg has gone down since I got my tires. Getting gas tomorrow and will check again, maybe I'm a little off

Yes 270-280 in a full tank. Trust me, I drove like granny just to see how much I can get out of it. Unfortunately it sucks!

I usually get between 15-17 mpg so I caculated 16x18=288. That's about right!

MPT doesn't really exist unless you run it dry and perfectly fill it every time.

Just hand calculate the MPG. It's really not hard.

Betting you'll find that your numbers come real close to the long term computer averages. If you are still all stock.

If you've mucked with tires, gearing etc., you've got to compensate for the induced error in the speedo/odo.

stock, save for slightly heavier BAMF grille and Softopper, but i can usually get 395-415 miles in a tank if i don't drive like an asshole or too far from my regular route. highest was 460, but also filled up 20.8 gallons at the pump, cut it too close for my liking.

Ahem... since I "only" get 16.5mpg.... define "drive like an asshole".

I see a lot of asshole drivers... not many in Tacos tho, which is surprising!

I drove 100 miles today mostly on the freeway.....some city driving, and averaged 20.3 mpg.

me driving like an asshole is ripping 80 on the straights, keeping it at 75 up hills, heavy on the accelerator from stops, etc. not like skipping lanes going 85 in mild traffic.

there are a bunch of asshole Taco drivers where i work (Ventura, CA). a lot of merging into an exit lane to beat traffic then jumping back in before the exit.

We fill around 20 gal each time. Approx 330 mi per tank, which is pretty spot on with the computers average MPG for the tank at 16 for 70/30 city/highway. Heavy KBRO2 tires, sliders. Rest is stock.

Just passed the 200 mile mark on this first tank and guard reads just a tad less than half. Hoping to get at least 350. Maybe better once its broke in a little. I've been hitting it a little hard trying to get used to the transmission. California puts so much crap in the gas and it makes a big difference in mileage. Some of the states don't water it down it ethanol or at least they didn't a few years back.

Those of you getting over 350 miles per tank please indicate the type of driving (city/highway). What is the temperature and elevation like.
I tried driving very conservatively for several tanks and the best i can do is 330 this is an average of 65% highway 35% city

I get 340-360 pretty much every tank. 5 or 6 miles on a 2 lane hwy then 25 miles of interstate. Typically set cruise about 73-77. This is around Memphis, Tn.
Best tank I pushed out to 425 or so. The fuel reminder had not come on yet.
No tires and no lift, strictly stock V6, 4x4, dc truck.

Those guys are so annoying. Sometimes I'll feel like pulling them over and giving them couple good swings to calm them down before they hurt someone.

My tank average is 375. 20% were over 400. High of 450.

My typical drive is 22 miles round trip, 14 is 55-65 MPH freeway, rest is 40 MPH streets.

Last week I was commuting farther (37 miles one way), with mostly 60 MPH travel rates, and was seeing 28-29 on the computer.

My stock Sport DCSB V6 has mud flaps and tube steps added, but did come with the factory tonneau cover.

Hello fellow Venturan. I also live and work in Ventura. North bound 101 at Johnson where 6 lanes dumps into 3......that's where I see most a-hole drivers. Thankfully I don't need to cross the bridge too often.

As your truck breaks in your mileage will increase. I was getting 16-18mpg when new and after break in its at 20-22 with a mix of city/highway miles. I did have a rear diff replacement at around 17k miles and mileage went back down until those new gears broke in.

On my way home today and the gas light came on. Stopped at the gas station, filled up and it only took 14.9 gallons. Hmmm. I'd only traveled 337 miles since my last fill up. 22.6 MPG. My best tank yet. Wasn't even trying to get good mileage. I actually thought I had a heavy foot for this tank and was expecting it to be low.
But.....I'm wondering why my low fuel light came on so soon.

I am averaging a solid 20 MPG overall, never run my tank all the way down though.

Normally I can see 22 mpg with my 3.5 3rd gen. 16 mpg when towing my boat. I got 14 mpg driving from Phoenix to LA @90+ mph for 3 hours.
