375 is about the most I've seen. I usually fill up with about a quarter of a tank left

Asking how many miles/tank is really useless info. But since you asked roughly 250-350 miles depending on how and where I drive. On long road trips where I'm trying to get good fuel mileage I'll get 20mpg and about 350 miles is as far as I like to push it. There may be 2-3 more gallons in the tank, but I see no reason to cut things that close, too many bad things can happen. The truck is a 2007 DC 4X4 BTW.

If I'm loaded heavy and/or towing fuel mileage my be closer to 12-13 mpg and 250 miles is doing good.

The MPG number is the only important number and it will be all over the place. There are so many different factors to consider. If the truck is stock and driven sensibly there is no reason not to get at least 20 mpg on the hwy with any generation Tacoma. One with 2wd or a lighter body could do better. Start modifying them and driving them hard and closer to 10 mpg is certainly possible.

when I had my 16 access cab 6 foot bed and filled my tank it would say 385 till empty. I saw 430 one time. now I have a 18 double cab long bed my fill up says 315 till empty. Ive seen 360 before I filled up.
I filled today at just under 1/4 tank and got 16 gallons and tripometer said 334.4 so 20.9 mpg all back roads driving 15-45.
Ive wondered why the 16 said 385 and 18 says 315. Im sure weight is higher now but 70 miles diff?

I fill up every half tank in my SR V6, ECT PWR off and regularly get 180-212. Still on stock 245's with nothing in the back.

Roughly 375-400, right around 18-19 gallons each time. Averaging 20mpg +/-1mpg with a good mix of city and highway. Bone stock SR DC V6 4x4

Initially 340 or so, but with spring weather, 4K miles now driven, and having switched to 91 E-free of late in preparation for a OVTune @ 91 octane, I've been 380 or so, and always seem to fill 'er up with 18 gal +/- a tenth. Average on my currant tank reads 21.1 mpg for what it's worth.

Light came on at 435 and put 18.3 in at 444. Been driving around with no tools this tank but did spend an hour in stop/go traffic though so still not max ideal. Next week is the annual Santa Barbara trip and last year made it one way on less than 3/4 tank indicated(26 mpg).

Even at 70 to 80 mph I can manage 390 winter, 420 summer . How much faster do I need to go to drop to those levels?

Neither, actually. The last trip I made was 260 miles of rolling hills, 2/3rds of it interstate (75mph) and the last third country backroads (60mph) and I arrived with just a hair above half a tank. Same results on the way back. I averaged over 26 MPG both ways.
