    Hey Everybody,

I was curious to see how many miles people have driven since getting their truck tuned?
Whether it was OV, KD-MAX, VF or the many other options.

Myself I think I'm somewhere around 25k miles since getting it done.

and even though I went from Premium to Regular still Happy AF that I did.

Apologies if this was posted previously I didn't see it in the search.

    Happy Friday - B

I just did it nearly a week ago, so only 150-ish.... I'll report back when I get some real miles on it.

My truck isn't my dd, but 4 months on the tune.

5+ years on my dd that's ov tuned.

    Fantastic upgrade.

You should chat up the M+W Nexus folks to get the Blackhawk update.

I have several thousand miles on the CVC tune. Can't imagine going back to stock.

Its tempting. I saw that my tune guy is supposed to be in town for a meetup in a few weeks. I might go just to talk to him about it.

Though I'm also debating spending a few more to just buy the flash kit and do it myself.

It's always recommended to either DIY or have someone local.

Why should I get it tuned? My truck runs like it did the day I brought it home from the dealer, beautifully!

132,000 miles, I’m on original plugs and haven’t touched the transmission fluid. The only thing I’ve done to this truck is replaced serpentine belt, brakes and tires a couple times. Oil changes every 8000 miles.

I know a lot of you are cringing and doing backflips, reading this.

I get the tune part, but why not replace plugs at recommended intervals?

Is your truck manual or auto?

If I had an AT, I would do drain and fill every 30-40k or so. Did my MT at around 18k, won’t touch it till I hit at least 60-70k miles.

I've got 15-20k ish on the Nexus tune, now called Blackhawk. After seeing how my truck drives now on the tune, you have to either be broke or just plain stubborn not to do it. Shifting, charging voltage, power, fuel economy... I could never go back.

Just over 25k since I first tuned it, currently running the Blackhawk tune and thrilled with the results.

If you felt that way when you bought yours, my question to you is: why did you buy it?

That's a fair question. Honestly, I though, assumed, etc. that it would get better as I put some miles on it. It actually did improve and if I didn't know tunes existed I probably would have just driven it that way and not have been unhappy. It wasn't terrible. Now that I have a point of comparison though, the tune is a definite improvement.
