I only have 300 miles on mine since I had both updates done. The difference is night and day. It honestly feels like I'm driving a different truck. I reaaalllllyyy hope it stays this way.

I have about 300 miles on the new ECU version and have not yet noticed any significant regression in shifting as with prior versions. With the prior ECU version I couldn't get more than a day or 2 in before it would learn to race to 6th at slow speeds or under acceleration which made it necessary to use things like S-4 + ECT around town.

Ya so far the lugging on the highway in sixth then down shifting to fourth instead of 5th seems to be gone. Also the 6th gear at 48 mph seems to be non existent. Clearing the tranny computer can only be done with Techstream software on a lap top using an obd2 wire that connects to usb port.

I have 1,000 on the update and have noticed little to no degradation in shifting behavior and prior versions had me pulling my hair out within 200 as the learning set in.

Same here. 1,000 miles in still consistent shifting and good power. No complaints.

So what’s the ecu calibration version we need to look for?

Last 4 digits are 4100 and 6100 for the 2018 model year.

4100 and 6100 are the last four of the good and updated ecu calibration after the tsb?

Can anyone confirm if these tsbs are the same? I took mine to the dealer and they did 0058-18 and the truck still likes to sit at 3-3500 rpms when I have reached 60-70mph even when I take my foot off the gas

From what I've gathered from data on my Techstream is that one is for the engine ecu and one is for the transmission. I clearned the learning computer after the tsb's were done. Since then no issues yet.

500 miles since 0058-18 was done for me and I have seen an improvement. It's not 100%, but it shifts much better. The dealer said give it a few thousand miles to learn before bringing it back it, but imunless it gets worse I will leave it alone. It's good enough to satisfy me

I have about 675+ since the update and still runs like the new truck I had when the updates were done. I live in a fairly hilly area with a few poor mans mountains. The truck does not search for a gear like it did but seems to acelerate as one would expect. Most interesting is i had become used to reaching for the ECT 80% of my rides. Think I used it once since updated when carrying 600 pounds in the bed. Fingers crossed this stays the norm.

I've put about 600 miles on my truck since the update. I'm extremely happy with it, the truck feels much more crisp in response and all sluggishness is gone. My MPG has notably increased as well. My daily commute to work has no highway driving and involves lots of red lights, hills and speeds of 35-50mph. Prior to the update, I was consistently getting 18.5-19.8mpg. Currently, I'm getting 20.8-21.5mpg for the exact same trip at the same time of day with no change other than the calibration update. Now that the truck doesn't lug around in 6th gear until it has to jump to 4th or 3rd it is much more efficient.

Anyone know if you can check what tsbs have been done with techstream?

Edit: I found it, is the calibration Id different on the 2016s?

I have about 4,000 miles on mine since having the TSB done. truck still runs like it did the day they did it. way better than the night I took delivery. I have noticed an average of about .5 mile better fuel mileage as well, nothing great but it is an improvement.

I have 2-3k on mine since it was done. Shifts better and the stumble is gone and I haven’t noticed it getting worse. Of course the way it shifted before didn’t really bother me, but I can definitely tell there’s an improvement.
