That said, my truck has almost 79K miles with an overall average of almost 19MPG since I bought it in 2008. To date, its summer-time high has been just over 21MPG and a winter-time low of about 15MPG. (They oxygenate our fuel during the winter months, to reduce pollution. Unfortunately, it also reduces horsepower and gas mileage.)

FWIW, I've found Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment to increase mileage almost 10% in all my vehicles, including the Tacoma. Since I began using it in June, the Tacoma's average mileage went from ~18.5MPG to just over 20MPG.

Here is an update on my gas milage. I was getting around 16mpg right before i posted this. ~250 miles to a tank before the light came on. I put some Gumout and started driving 0-60 in what seemed like a minute! HAHA. I got 19mpg on my last tank. ~310 miles to the tank. Don't think it was the Gumout since it was the 1st tank with it in there that i got the 310, most likely from a light foot on the pedal and coasting a lot! I'll take the extra 60+ miles/tank any day!

Brand new, the best I had was a unloaded california trip and got 29 mpg on the 4 ply 225's at 60mph. 1600 mile trip. Was following a loaded Uhaul so the speed was kept down and consistent for that speed limited Uhaul. The Tacoma was completely empty, save for 1 suitcase and driver.

With my 6 ply 30x9.50's,, canopy, loaded JoBox, I get 18-20 average.

It all depends on how you drive.

16 mpg. Pretty much all city driving. Have seen 17.5 mpg about half city, half highway. Probably around 20 mpg hwy (55-60 mph).

As stated above by Norton, our fuel is oxygenated in the winter which also effects MPG.

Exactly! So-called "winter blend" or "oxygenated" fuels lower mileage (by 10-20%) and performance (harder to measure but noticeable by "butt dyno") in all of my vehicles.

Cool map, BTW, se7enine. Thanks for sharing!

Winter fuel has more moisture content in different areas, so added anti foamers and dryers. Sometimes added at the dist centers to keep the tankers from not condensing/watering up when empty as bad. It's worse in the winter than the summer. A brother trucker runs gas tankers. Some tankers have a water trap/filter on the vent side when they are unloading,,to keep the moisture contamination down. The low buck bush league fuel haulers usually don't have that trap,,and then you get real cheap gas. Word to the wise.

Just drove 1200 to/from Tahoe and got 20.3 and averaging about 78 mph. I was sorta stoked on that number. Still, time to source a Prius or Civic for a commuter. Anyone interested in an 07 GSXR600 completely stock? Im over it. Haha/
