Our old house was a split foyer that had a nice garage on it. 26ft deep and also had about 4ft on either side of the garage door so it was wide too. Had shelves up in front and could also park a 4 wheeler in front of my truck and everything still fit. Or current house has a three car garage and I have about a foot of space in front of my truck with no shelving. Side to side, we have my truck, a 4 wheeler and my wife's Lexus NX and it is fairly tight. There is no way you could ever get three cars in there. I guess large garages just are not in demand by the general public or else they would be making them bigger.

My deal when building new house was 3 car garage, didn't really care much about the rest to a degree. Truck has garage at home..........

    .................and work

I even made room for the wife to park in one spot after organizing all the stuff that was in her way, lol............15 bicycles, 3 surfboards, 2 12ft kayaks, workbench, shelves for parts, garbage can, ladders, water filter, lawn equipment, car, racks for bikes & yaks, freezer, TV, tool boxes and more. All 3 cars can come and go and you can walk between and around them all.

DCSB parked in my garage. When I back in I put the RED one on the washer which gives me 18" of clearance in the rear and an inch in the front. This is just enough to lower the tailgate and which allows me to load the dirt bikes the night before we go riding.

No F150 or DCLB for me.

My Taco has never once seen in the inside of a garage. It's a truck - it's made to freely roam the country side covered in mud and animal blood!

Yeah, well the rest of the house checks off pretty much everything on our list. Houses are going super fast in KC at this time so we are going to look at it again next week. It may be sold by then so we'll see. If it's still available then it was meant to be.

Looks like a tight fit to do laundry with your truck in the garage. :)

If I had a short bed it would fit, but my dclb is about 2 inches too long. I have a 3car garage so I probably could park it sideways if I wanted, but we have so many bikes and junk that we can only fit one car in there anyways, so the gf gets to so she doesn't have to scrape the ice from her windows in the morning during the winter

Got used to keeping it in the garage with the wife's car. She pulls in and I back in so we don't hit each others doors:D. Nice not having to clean snow off if it was parked outside.(picture from this past winter before a bath).P1020131.jpg

I looked at Tundra's end of year last year. I wouldn't expect that to fit in a garage.

I see you're in KC also. Where you looking at buying? I'm building a house in OP around 159th and Antioch with a 3-car garage.

racecar in the garage - tacoma outside. tacoma could probably fit.. but would be tight for sure.

and i prefer it that way since there is way more money invested in the racecar.

Blue Springs / Grain Valley area right off i70. I grew up in Overland Park off 115th and Metcalf. My sister lives at about where you are building. They are behind that applebee's/target off 69 highway and 151.

We've thought about building but we aren't sure that would work because houses are selling like crazy and new builds are going for more than asking.

I like my vehicles looking nice. I think that's my biggest thing. I have had my truck since 2012 and any scratch or rock chip I see that's new drives me nuts. I know I can't watch my truck 24/7 but I at least like to make sure I prevent stuff from happening to it as much as I can.

I think my other thing is I'd like to eventually buy a 19 - 21" boat and I know for a fact with a 2 car garage there would be no way to put my truck in it too.

I bought my 2015 last July and it sat in the garage pretty much all winter because we did not have a bad one. So I drove my beater for work. Kept the miles down on it. So far 3600 miles on it.

I hear ya. Kansas City (maybe all the US) houses are selling like crazy and way overpriced. Our house price is actually decent. It's the Lot price that was ridiculous for Overland Park area.

I drive about 40 miles round trip for work and before my wife was employeed by my work I racked up miles like crazy. Now that we work at the same place we drive her vehicle and I drive mine only on weekends. I have kept the miles off now finally. Since 2012 I went from 27k to 96k miles.
