I built my garage 10 years after moving in so I really could sense the space and do it right. My final design is 28x36 with an attached shed and loft. 9’ doors and 10’ ceiling. I poured the pads for a mid bay lift and the ceiling loft above the mid bay is optional structurally should I decide to take it out for a lift. Don’t have the $ or the time but it was short money to put in the footers.

At 24' there is abt 6" between my truck and the garage door and ~2' between my lowered tailgate and my toolbox if I back in.

    Thanks!
Floor is ground, polished and sealed. Same thing they do to the floors at places like Home Depot and Costco.

just bought my first home, it was built last year and has a 2 car attached it holds my '86 c10 hotrod, my GF's Camry and all my tools, i can handle the truck being outside on clean pavement..i bring that part up because for the last 4 years since we started dating we've lived in apartments, a rental home with a gravel driveway and playing musical parking spots varying from in front of our mailbox or the yard which you had to walk through to get to the front door so no covered parking anywhere we've ever been... rentals suck balls and even though its a little more than we need its worth it to me to be able to say "its ours"...at least if i have to work on anything she is willing to move her car out until i get done...oh and shes as particular about her car as i am about the taco and the c10 so no dings, scratches or any shenanigans going on around my house

Have a 2014 Trail Team Sport in my garage. I NEVER leave it out, rain, sun, snow. Looks like the day I bought it. Makes a big difference. (Still apply Fluid Film twice a year.)

My truck fits but...no room in front to access washer/dryer. Also can't get to the garage storage on the passenger side of the truck when the garage door is closed.

    Too short as in height.

It's a replacement garage, if the original garage was still there I think it would fit. Not sure what happened to the original. Fire, down tree, or maybe termites.

    Nice setup you got there.
I wanted a big steel building but the city wouldn't let me.
But they had no issue with a 1,500sqft attached garage so I did that instead.

6gears garage is sweet! My DCLB fits ok, not a ton of room behind it, but I’ve never backed in with the tailgate down. I don’t have shelving behind the truck. Garage is 32x24. I wanted to go bigger but no complaints - this is so much nicer than what we had before.
